Heavy meals during travel can temporarily weaken digestion and increase Ama (toxins) and Kapha in Ayurveda, leading to heaviness, bloating and dehydration. What You Should Do Now: Sip warm water slowly every 10–15 minutes to improve hydration. Take light foods only for the next meal — khichdi, soup, fruits or plain rice. Avoid tea, coffee, fried food and cold drinks for a few hours. Walk slowly for 10–15 minutes if possible; avoid lying down immediately. You can take a small piece of ginger with a pinch of rock salt to stimulate digestion. Simple Ayurvedic Support: • Jeera + saunf warm water helps reduce heaviness and gas. • Coconut water or ORS can help restore fluids and electrolytes. Take proper rest and sleep well tonight. Usually the heaviness settles within a few hours once digestion improves and hydration is restored.
