Your symptoms may be related to diabetic neuropathy and poor diabetes control (HbA1c 8.5%). Please continue regular follow-up with your diabetologist. Take • Ashwagandha Capsule 500 mg – 1 capsule twice daily after food. • Trayodashang Guggulu – 2 tablets twice daily after food. • Maharasnadi Kwath – 15 ml + equal water twice daily after food. For vertigo: • Sutshekhar Ras – 1 tablet twice daily after food. Diet: • Strict diabetic diet, regular walking as tolerated, and foot care.
••Hello. As an Ayurvedic practitioner looking at your complete clinical picture, it is crucial to analyze how your current symptoms, blood markers, and daily habits interconnect. You are dealing with a complex presentation, but breaking it down through both an Ayurvedic lens (Ayurveda) and modern clinical realities gives us a clear path forward. 1. Clinical Analysis of Your Presenting Symptoms The Core Issue: Diabetic Neuropathy ••Your HbA1c of 8.5% indicates a state of chronic hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). In Ayurveda, chronic diabetes is classified under Prameha. When blood sugar remains elevated, it leads to the vitiation of Vata Dosha, specifically affecting the Prana and Vyana Vata which govern the nervous system and peripheral circulation. ••This causes Dhatu Kshaya (tissue depletion), specifically damaging the Majja Dhatu (nervous tissue). In modern medicine, this is Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy—the high sugar levels have damaged the tiny blood vessels supplying your nerves, leading to the numbness, weakness, and loss of sensation in your feet. This nerve damage in your feet also severely compromises your proprioception (your brain’s ability to sense where your feet are), directly contributing to your imbalance and vertigo. ••The Vitamin B12 Anomaly (>2000 pg/mL) A Vitamin B12 level above 2000 pg/mL is exceptionally high. While B12 is water-soluble and excess is usually excreted, a level this high in someone experiencing active, worsening nerve damage requires immediate conventional medical investigation. It generally points to one of three things: ••Functional B12 Deficiency: Sometimes, high blood levels mean the vitamin is circulating in the bloodstream but is failing to enter the cells where it is actually needed to repair the nerves. ••Hidden Supplementation: You may be taking a multivitamin, a fortified “Diacare” juice, or a nerve tonic that contains massive doses of Cyanocobalamin or Methylcobalamin without realizing it. ••Underlying Medical Conditions: High B12 can sometimes be a secondary marker for liver dysfunction, kidney issues, or certain hematological changes where the liver is releasing stored B12 back into the blood. Vertigo and Motion Sickness (Bhrama) In Ayurveda, vertigo is known as Bhrama, caused by a combined vitiation of Vata and Pitta disrupting the Prana Vayu in the head. Clinically, your vertigo is likely multifactorial: it is fueled by the lack of sensory feedback from your damaged foot nerves, potential inner ear microvascular changes from diabetes, and the systemic metabolic shifts happening in your body. 2. Review of Your Current Ayurvedic Diet & Juices ••While your dedication to your health is highly commendable, consuming a large volume of raw juices simultaneously can actually overwhelm your digestive fire (Agni), leading to the accumulation of Ama (metabolic toxins) and further vitiating Vata. ••Aloe Vera, Giloy, Tulsi, Karela, Jamun & Diacare Juices •These are highly potent Tikta (bitter) and Kashaya (astringent) herbs. While excellent for reducing blood sugar, taking 30 ml of multiple raw blends daily can be incredibly cooling (Sheeta) and drying (Ruksha). This excess dryness aggravates Vata, worsening nerve numbness and vertigo. ••Consolidate: Stop taking multiple individual raw juices. Focus on a single, standardized, warm preparation if needed, and check the labels of “Diacare” or other commercial juices for hidden B12 or preservatives. ••Amla Pulp:- Amla is a premier Rasayana (rejuvenative) that balances all three Doshas and stabilizes Pitta without aggravating Vata. ••Continue: Keep consuming Amla, but ensure it is taken at room temperature, not chilled. ••Flax, Chia, Pumpkin, Sunflower, and Til (Sesame) Seeds ••Seeds are rich in healthy fats, which are excellent for calming Vata and nourishing Majja Dhatu (nerves). However, consuming five different types of dense seeds simultaneously (especially raw) is very heavy (Guru) to digest for a 76-year-old Agni. ••Modify: Reduce the variety. Focus primarily on Til (Sesame) seeds and Flax seeds, as they are the most therapeutic for Vata nerve disorders. Ensure they are lightly dry-roasted and ground to make them easy to digest. ••Nerve Nourishment (Balya & Vata Shamana): Classic Ayurvedic formulations like Ashwagandha Churna or Ksheerabala Taila (capsules) are highly effective. Ashwagandha acts as a specific Majja Dhatu Rasayana to help repair damaged myelin sheaths and calm vertigo. ••Blood Sugar Management: Instead of multiple raw juices, traditional combinations like Nisha-Amalki (a specific combination of Turmeric and Amla) help manage blood sugar while safely protecting the microvasculature of the nerves. ••External Therapy (External Vata Shamana): Because your internal Vata is high, we must use the skin to calm it. Gently applying warm, therapeutic oils like Maha Narayan Taila or Ksheerabala Taila to your feet and calves daily before bed will stimulate peripheral circulation, soothe damaged nerve endings, and help restore your sense of balance. Avoid vigorous massaging; gentle, downward strokes are best.
