Bloating

Ibs from last 30 years bloating heavyness belly fat body is thin fat on stomach area reduce my belly fat

Hello, considering your history of IBS, bloating, and central weight gain, Ayurveda suggests addressing these symptoms by balancing the digestive fire (Agni) and reducing the buildup of Ama (toxins) in the body. Often, imbalances in vata and kapha doshas contribute to issues like bloating, heaviness, and abdominal fat. A holistic approach focusing on improving digestion and metabolism will be beneficial for both managing IBS and reducing belly fat. Herbs like Triphala, Trikatu (a combination of ginger, black pepper, and long pepper), and Hingwashtak churna are traditionally used to support digestion, reduce bloating, and improve metabolic function. Triphala can be taken at bedtime to support regular bowel movements and gentle detoxification, while Hingwashtak churna may be taken with warm water before meals to reduce bloating and heaviness. Dietary changes are also essential. Ayurveda recommends eating warm, cooked foods that are easy to digest, with minimal raw, cold, or overly spicy foods, as these can aggravate IBS symptoms. Eating smaller, regular meals and drinking warm water or herbal teas (such as cumin, fennel, and ginger tea) throughout the day can help reduce bloating and aid digestion. Avoid heavy, oily, or sugary foods, as they can contribute to abdominal fat. Additionally, gentle physical activities like yoga and pranayama (breathing exercises) can be beneficial. Yoga postures like Naukasana (boat pose), Bhujangasana (cobra pose), and Paschimottanasana (seated forward bend) can support abdominal strength and digestion. Since your symptoms have been ongoing, consulting with an Ayurvedic practitioner will be crucial for a personalized approach, proper dosage, and sustained management. They can guide you through a structured routine to help gradually reduce abdominal fat and relieve IBS symptoms.

Feeling neck and stomach have some swelling and pain

From last 2 days I feel my food pipe from neck to stomach maybe like some swelling lite and pain little and if I eat little bit my stomach is being ful feel sir dard bhi start ho gya

Hello Newton, In Ayurveda, your symptoms suggest an imbalance in Pitta and Vata doshas, possibly leading to Amla Pitta (acid dyspepsia) or Udara Shoola (abdominal discomfort). To soothe the swelling and discomfort in your food pipe, take Avipattikar Churna before meals, which helps reduce acidity and supports digestion. Sukumara Ghrita or Yashtimadhu (licorice) powder with warm water may also provide relief by coating and calming the digestive tract. Avoid spicy, oily, and heavy foods, and instead have light, warm meals to reduce the sensation of fullness. Drink jeera dhania pani (cumin and coriander water) throughout the day to cool the system. For headache relief, apply chandan (sandalwood) paste on your forehead. Consult an Ayurvedic practitioner to confirm the treatment and dosage suited to your body type.

Hello Na mitha, Aapke lakshan Vata aur Pitta dosha ke asantulan ka sanket dete hain, jo pet mein gas, bloating aur kabz ka karan bante hain. Iske liye Triphala Churna raat mein garam pani ke saath lein, jo aanton ko saaf rakhta hai aur pachan ko sudhaar karta hai. Khane turant pehle, Avipattikar Churna ya Hingvastak Churna garam pani ke saath le sakte hain, jo gas aur bloating mein rahat deta hai. Ajwain aur jeera ka paani din mein do baar peene se bhi fayda hoga. Apna ahar halka aur poshak rakhein—zyaada masaledar, tel wale aur fast food se door rahen. i face the ibd problem.... please solve my problem... swelling the upper abdomen... bloating, acidity gastritis

Managing inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and ulcerative colitis can be challenging, but Ayurveda offers natural ways to reduce symptoms and improve digestive health. The symptoms you mentioned—abdominal swelling, bloating, acidity, and gastritis—often indicate an imbalance of Pitta and Vata doshas, which need to be carefully managed. Begin by following a Pitta-pacifying diet to reduce inflammation: favor cooling, soothing foods like well-cooked rice, oatmeal, moong dal, and steamed vegetables (such as squash, carrots, and zucchini). Avoid spicy, fried, and acidic foods, as well as caffeine, tomatoes, and fermented items, as these can aggravate acidity and inflammation. Include herbs such as Amla (Indian gooseberry) and licorice, which have cooling and anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe the digestive tract and balance excess Pitta. For bloating and acidity, having a small piece of ginger with a pinch of rock salt before meals may aid digestion, but consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized guidance on herbs and dosages. Drinking warm water throughout the day and incorporating 1-2 teaspoons of aloe vera juice on an empty stomach may also provide relief by calming the intestines. Avoid stress as it can worsen IBD symptoms. Gentle yoga, breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation can help reduce stress, support digestion, and strengthen the digestive fire (Agni) without causing irritation. Regular self-care with an oil massage (Abhyanga) using cooling oils like coconut or olive oil can also balance Pitta and promote relaxation. Making these lifestyle changes, alongside Ayurvedic dietary practices, can gradually reduce inflammation and discomfort, providing you with relief over time.

Am Suffering from Acidity/ Gastric Problem from Many Years.. Am On Jain Deit, Morning Breakfast 4-5 day Only on Fruits. Pls Advice.

Hello Bharat, To manage your long-standing acidity and gastric issues while following a Jain diet, it is important to focus on both dietary adjustments and lifestyle practices that can help soothe your digestive system. Start by incorporating **warm, cooked meals** rather than relying solely on raw fruits for breakfast, as cooked foods are often easier to digest and can reduce acidity. Consider having **oatmeal** or **dalia** (broken wheat) with a pinch of ginger, which can help improve digestion. Add **cooked vegetables** such as bottle gourd (lauki), pumpkin, and squash to your meals, as they are gentle on the stomach. Include **herbs and spices** like **cumin**, **ginger**, and **asafoetida (hing)**, which can aid digestion and reduce bloating. **Triphala** is a beneficial herbal remedy that can help regulate digestion and relieve acidity; taking it in powdered form with warm water before bedtime can be effective. Stay hydrated by drinking **warm water** or **herbal teas** such as peppermint or chamomile, which can soothe the digestive tract. Avoid highly spicy, oily, or processed foods, and be mindful of your portion sizes to prevent overeating, which can contribute to acidity. Regular, moderate physical activity like walking can also promote better digestion. Lastly, consider consulting with an Ayurvedic practitioner for a tailored treatment plan that addresses your specific symptoms and dietary preferences.

Upper abdomen pain

I have continuous pain in the middle of the upper abdomen and constipation.Want to lose weight I am 43 years old . Female

For persistent upper abdominal pain, constipation, and weight management, Ayurveda emphasizes addressing the root causes, often linked to an imbalance in Pitta and Vata doshas. The pain in the upper abdomen and gastric discomfort may stem from excessive Pitta, which can aggravate acidity and lead to inflammation in the digestive tract, while Vata imbalance can contribute to constipation. To reduce Pitta and balance digestion, I recommend including herbs like Amla (Indian gooseberry) and Yashtimadhu (licorice root), which help cool and soothe the digestive system. You can also drink warm water infused with fennel and cumin seeds throughout the day to reduce acidity, ease bloating, and support healthy digestion. Taking Triphala churna at night is beneficial for easing constipation gently and cleansing the colon without creating dependence. A Pitta-Vata balancing diet is important. Opt for warm, freshly cooked foods that are easy to digest. Avoid spicy, fried, or very oily foods, as well as processed items, as these can aggravate Pitta and Vata. Incorporate cooling, hydrating foods like cucumbers, leafy greens, and steamed vegetables. Ghee, used in moderation, is also very helpful in managing both digestion and constipation. To support weight management, Ayurveda encourages consistent, mindful eating habits and moderate physical activity, like walking or yoga, that promotes metabolism without straining the body. Avoid skipping meals, as this can increase digestive fire in an imbalanced way, causing acidity. Establishing a daily routine, managing stress, and prioritizing good sleep are also essential, as these factors impact digestion and metabolism.

Eating causing throat burn, hard ball like stool, frequently pain in back , Age 23 , doesn't eat orange , tomato, lemon as it is acidic. Stopped milk also for some time

For symptoms like throat burn after eating, hard stool, and back pain, particularly when associated with GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease), Ayurveda provides a holistic approach to balance digestion, reduce acidity, and support bowel health. GERD is typically connected with an aggravated Pitta dosha, leading to excess heat and acidity in the digestive tract. The key here is to cool and calm Pitta while also regulating Agni (digestive fire) for balanced digestion. To reduce throat burn and acidity, herbs such as Amalaki (Indian gooseberry), Yashtimadhu (licorice root), and Shatavari are helpful. Amalaki is rich in Vitamin C, cooling, and soothing to the mucous membranes, while Yashtimadhu can coat and protect the stomach lining, reducing acid reflux. These herbs can be taken as powders or in mild teas to gently alleviate burning sensations in the throat. Shatavari, known for its soothing properties, can also be beneficial in calming Pitta and reducing acidity. Drinking a cup of lukewarm water with a pinch of fennel or coriander seeds before meals can further support digestion without aggravating acidity. To address the issue of hard stools, Ayurveda recommends increasing fiber through foods that are easy on the stomach, like cooked vegetables, whole grains, and mild fruits such as ripe bananas and papaya. Drinking warm water throughout the day and including a teaspoon of ghee in meals can help lubricate the intestines, softening the stool. Trivrit churna, an Ayurvedic herb that aids in gentle bowel movements, can also be considered but should be taken under guidance. For back pain, often linked to digestive imbalances and Vata disturbance, applying warm sesame oil to the lower back and massaging gently can provide relief. This massage helps relax muscles and improve circulation, reducing discomfort. Avoiding spicy, fried, and acidic foods is beneficial, as they increase Pitta. Instead, include cooling and alkaline foods, such as cucumbers, green leafy vegetables, and oatmeal, which help pacify acidity and are easier on the stomach. With these lifestyle adjustments and Ayurvedic remedies, you may find relief from symptoms

Bloating and constipation and pain

Feel bloated all the time... Pain starts in pelvic area and moves towards anus.. Constipation too.. Sometimes the pain goes back towards lower back

Frequent bloating, pelvic pain, constipation, and discomfort radiating to the lower back are often signs of aggravated Vata dosha, particularly within the Apana Vata, which governs the lower abdomen and elimination functions. To address these symptoms, it’s essential to follow a Vata-pacifying diet and lifestyle. Begin by focusing on warm, cooked, and easily digestible foods, such as well-cooked rice, moong dal, steamed vegetables (like carrots, squash, and zucchini), and light soups. Avoid cold, raw, or overly dry foods, as well as gas-forming foods like beans and cabbage, which can worsen bloating and constipation. Incorporate Ayurvedic herbs like Triphala, which is gentle yet effective in promoting regular bowel movements and relieving constipation. Taking 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder with warm water before bed can support digestive regularity and reduce bloating. Hingvastak Churna, a traditional Ayurvedic digestive blend, can be taken with warm ghee before meals to enhance digestion, reduce gas, and ease abdominal discomfort. Daily Abhyanga (oil massage) using warm sesame oil, especially around the abdomen and lower back, can help balance Vata and alleviate pain. Gentle yoga poses such as Pavanamuktasana (Wind-Relieving Pose) and Supta Baddha Konasana (Reclining Bound Angle Pose) can provide relief from bloating and aid digestion. Staying hydrated and sipping warm water throughout the day can also ease Vata and improve bowel movement. Avoid stress, as it can further disrupt digestion. Practicing deep breathing and meditation daily can calm the mind and promote smoother digestion.

I have IBD, CHRON DISEASE, ulcer and now I have a fistula in anal canal i was on medication for my diseases last 7 months but didn't get any recovery my weight is losing day by day is there any way to treat my diseases because i don't use alopathic medicine so much

I understand your concern regarding your condition of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Crohn's disease, and the presence of an anal fistula, especially considering your ongoing weight loss and lack of recovery despite medication. In Ayurveda, we approach such chronic conditions by addressing the underlying imbalances and promoting overall wellness. Firstly, it's crucial to incorporate a Sattvic diet, emphasizing easily digestible foods that are gentle on the digestive system. This includes well-cooked grains, soft vegetables, and warm soups, avoiding spicy, fried, and processed foods that can aggravate your condition. Triphala and Guggulu may help in managing symptoms and promoting healing. They possess anti-inflammatory properties and can support digestion and elimination. Additionally, Panchakarma, a detoxification and rejuvenation therapy in Ayurveda, might be beneficial to remove accumulated toxins and reduce inflammation. It includes therapies like Basti (enemas) that can be particularly effective for intestinal disorders, as they help balance Vata and Pitta doshas. Stress management through yoga and meditation is also vital, as stress can exacerbate gastrointestinal issues. Regular practices can help calm the mind and improve digestion.

Acidity and breathlessness

I often get gastric and breathlessness with a little bit of BP spike is that normal ? All blood tests are normal except I have a tendency to get kidney stones every now and then. Pls suggest.

Experiencing gastric issues and breathlessness, along with occasional spikes in blood pressure, can be concerning and may indicate an imbalance in your body’s systems. In Ayurveda, these symptoms can often be linked to an accumulation of ama (toxins) and an imbalance of vata and pitta doshas. For effective management, it's crucial to adopt a holistic approach that includes dietary modifications, lifestyle changes, and herbal remedies: Dietary Adjustments: Incorporate easily digestible foods while avoiding heavy, spicy, and fatty meals that can exacerbate gastric discomfort. Favor warm, cooked meals, and include plenty of fiber-rich foods to support digestion. Drinking adequate water is vital, especially given your history of kidney stones, as proper hydration can help prevent their formation. Herbal Remedies: Certain Ayurvedic herbs can support digestion and overall health. Triphala is known for its digestive benefits and may help eliminate toxins. Ginger tea can soothe the stomach and improve digestion, while Ajwain (carom seeds) can alleviate gas and bloating. Always consult an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting any new herbal treatment. Lifestyle Modifications: Regular exercise, such as yoga or walking, can help manage stress levels, improve circulation, and support healthy digestion. Practices like pranayama (breath control) can also alleviate breathlessness and promote relaxation. Stress Management: Since stress can aggravate both gastric issues and blood pressure, incorporating relaxation techniques, such as meditation or mindfulness, can be beneficial. Monitoring and Follow-up: Keep a close eye on your symptoms, particularly regarding blood pressure spikes and episodes of breathlessness. If these symptoms persist or worsen, further evaluation may be warranted to rule out any underlying conditions.
