Urine comming very slowly.so I went to doctor nd treated nd urine hole closed nd he opend it..at that movement prblm slvd. After 3 months same prblm repeated what should I do

It sounds like you’re dealing with a recurring issue involving urinary obstruction. If the blockage of the urine flow returned after the procedure to open the passage, it might indicate an underlying issue that hasn’t been fully addressed or a recurrence of the problem. In Ayurveda, urinary issues like this may be related to an imbalance in Vata (which controls movement in the body) or Kapha (which can cause stagnation). Treatments could focus on balancing these doshas and supporting the urinary system. Herbs like Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris), Punarnava, and Varunadi Kwath are commonly used to promote urinary flow, reduce inflammation, and strengthen the kidneys and bladder. Shodhana therapies (detoxifying treatments like Virechana or Basti) may also be helpful in clearing blockages and improving circulation. In addition to herbal remedies, lifestyle changes such as increasing hydration, avoiding cold foods, and incorporating yoga poses that support pelvic health (like Matsyasana and Bhujangasana) could assist in improving urinary function. Since this issue has recurred even after medical intervention, it's crucial to consult with an experienced Ayurvedic practitioner to determine the root cause of the blockage and guide you toward the appropriate treatment. You may also want to revisit your urologist for further evaluation to rule out any structural or functional issues.

Recurrent UrinARY Tract Infection

2 answers

I’m a 24-year-old female with hypothyroidism, and I’ve been dealing with recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs) for the past month. Modern medicine has given me temporary relief, but the infections keep coming back. There’s no blood in my urine, but I experience severe pain on the left side of my abdomen, along with chills, fever, and occasional vomiting. What can be done to manage this issue more effectively, especially considering my hypothyroidism?

As an Ayurvedic doctor, I would recommend focusing on strengthening your immune system and balancing your body’s internal environment. For recurrent UTIs, a combination of herbs like Gokshura, Punarnava, and Cranberry can help support urinary tract health and reduce infections. It's important to maintain proper hydration and incorporate foods that promote detoxification, such as fresh fruits, vegetables, and warm herbal teas. Additionally, managing your thyroid levels through tailored herbal treatments can help address any imbalances in your body. I would also suggest consulting with a local Ayurvedic practitioner for a more personalized treatment plan, considering your hypothyroidism and other health factors.

UTI related

I have recurring UTIs and want to find natural solutions. How can Ayurveda help prevent and manage urinary tract infections? What dietary changes and herbs should I consider?

Dear Joshua, Managing urinary tract infections (UTIs) with Ayurveda involves a holistic approach that focuses on balancing the body's systems, enhancing immunity, and promoting urinary health. Here are some effective strategies: 1. Dietary Adjustments (Ahara): Hydration: Drink plenty of water to flush out toxins and bacteria. Herbal teas, especially those made with cumin or coriander, can also be beneficial. Cranberries: Incorporate unsweetened cranberry juice or consume whole cranberries to help prevent bacterial adhesion to the urinary tract. Cooling Foods: Focus on fresh fruits and vegetables, especially those that are hydrating and cooling, like cucumbers, melons, and leafy greens. 2. Herbs: Gokshura (Tribulus Terrestris): Known for its diuretic properties, it can help in flushing out toxins. Punarnava: Supports kidney health and helps reduce inflammation. Dandelion Root: Acts as a diuretic and can promote urinary tract health. 3. Lifestyle Practices (Vihara): Hygiene: Maintain proper hygiene, especially after using the bathroom and during menstruation. Regular Exercise: Engage in moderate exercise to enhance circulation and support overall health. Stress Management: Practice stress-reduction techniques like yoga and meditation, as stress can weaken the immune system. 4. Warm Compress: Applying a warm compress to the lower abdomen can help relieve discomfort and pain associated with UTIs. 5. Detoxification (Panchakarma): Consult an Ayurvedic practitioner about detoxification therapies that may help cleanse the urinary system. 6. Consultation: Work with an Ayurvedic practitioner for a personalized treatment plan that considers your unique constitution (dosha) and specific symptoms. By integrating these Ayurvedic practices, you can effectively manage UTIs and promote urinary tract health. If symptoms persist, it's important to seek medical attention.

ayurvedic medicine for hydrocele—any effective options?

1 answers

I have a hydrocele that’s been causing discomfort for a few months. The urologist suggested surgery, but I want to explore Ayurvedic alternatives first. I’ve read about herbal treatments and even oils that might help reduce the swelling. Has anyone successfully treated hydrocele with Ayurveda? Which medicines or therapies worked for you, and how long did it take to see results?

In Ayurveda, a hydrocele is considered an imbalance in the body's doshas, primarily affecting the water element, leading to fluid accumulation. Herbal treatments like Gokshura, Punarnava, and Trikatu may help improve circulation and reduce excess fluid, while formulations like Dashamoola or Manjistha can be used to support detoxification. Ayurvedic oils like Kanchanar Guggulu may help reduce swelling when applied externally. In addition, Panchakarma therapies, such as Virechana (therapeutic purgation) and Abhyanga (oil massage), can be beneficial to balance the doshas and relieve discomfort. However, the effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatments can vary from person to person, and it’s important to work closely with an Ayurvedic practitioner to tailor a treatment plan specific to your condition. Surgery is often recommended if the hydrocele is large or causing significant discomfort, but Ayurvedic methods can help in managing mild cases or post-surgery recovery.
