I was Diagnosed with UTI on 20 February. they started treating with various antibiotics however nothing worked. Initially I had irritation while urination, High Fever sometimes and discoloration of urine (Dark yellowish green)
Subsequently urine culture was done and noticed that bacteria was sensitive only to two antibiotics (Meropenem & Fosfomycin)
They started treating with Meropenem (1gm BD) through IV
after 3 days urine culture was done again and it showed nil bacteria, however on my request they continued Meropenem for 2 more days. Subsequently, my fever stopped but other symptoms remained. i again went for urine culture and found that bacteria still present.
I am worried because of reoccurring of this infection and want to get rid totally.
currently I am admitted in a hospital and being treated with Meropenem (1gm /TDS) through IV, since 28th march.
