Doctor, for the past few days, I’ve noticed blood in poop, and I’m really scared. It’s not a lot, but it’s enough to make me worried, and I don’t know what could be causing it. The blood is bright red, and it appears when I have a bowel movement. I’m not experiencing pain or discomfort, but the sight of blood is still alarming. I’m not sure if it’s related to something I ate or if it’s a sign of a more serious issue. I’ve had occasional constipation in the past, but this doesn’t feel like the usual type of discomfort I get. I’ve also been under a lot of stress lately, and I wonder if that could be affecting my digestive system. I’ve heard that blood in poop could be a sign of hemorrhoids, but I’m also worried it could be something more serious, like a gastrointestinal bleed or even colon cancer.
