✅ Muktavati (commonly used for blood pressure) - Contains herbs like Sarpagandha, Brahmi, Shankhpushpi, Jatamansi, and Mukta Pishti. - These are known for calming the nervous system and supporting cardiovascular health. - No steroids or synthetic antihypertensives are included in classical formulations.

Regarding Muktavati and Madhunashini, typically these Ayurvedic formulations are made from a combination of herbs and natural ingredients. Muktavati, known for supporting heart health and managing blood pressure, generally includes ingredients like Arjuna, Brahmi, and Shankhapushpi. Madhunashini, aimed at blood sugar control, often contains herbs like Gymnema Sylvestre, Guduchi, and Nimba.

Authentic Ayurvedic medicines are not supposed to contain harmful synthetic chemicals or steroids. However, it’s crucial to buy these products from reputable sources who adhere to good manufacturing practices as per AYUSH guidelines in India. There have been instances of contamination or adulteration in the market, particurly with less credible suppliers. Always ensure that the product has appropriate certifications and is sourced from a trusted brand.

For individual safety, check for full ingredient disclosure on labels and research each herb’s known properties to align them with what’s being marketed. It’s advisable to consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner to guide you in choosing the appropriate formulation for your specific health needs. Additionally, regular monitoring and consultation with a healthcare provider is recommended when using these formulations to track efficacy and address any potential concerns promptly.

As different individuals have unique constitutions, the impact of these medicines can vary. Monitoring body response, dietary patterns, and lifestyle is vital when taking these supplements, ensuring they benefit without unwanted effects. If experiencing any adverse symptoms, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional immediately.

HELLO,

Divya Muktaa vati and Madhunashini vati do not list steroids or harmful chemicals in their official ingredients. They mainly contains herbal components like Brahmi, Ashwagandha, Gudmar, Giloy, Neem, and Biter gourd

However some Ayurvedic products in the market have been found adulterated (with steroids or heavy metals), so only buy from trusted, licensed brands and check batch / AYUSH numbers

For mild hypertension and prediabetes , these can be used along with -balanced diet- low salt, low sugar -regular exercise, yoga and stress control -periodic Bp and blood sugar monitoring

THANK YOU

DR. MAITRI ACHARYA

Determining the safety and composition of Ayurvedic medicines like Muktavati and Madhunashini is quite essential, particularly considering any potential exposure to harmful chemicals or substances such as steroids. Generally, traditional formulations rely on natural herbs and other ingredients known for their therapeutic properties. However, the risk primarily arises with commercially produced products, which may sometimes be adulterated or contaminated if not properly regulated or sourced.

To be sure of their safety, it is crucial to ensure these medicines are purchased from reputable and trustworthy sources. They should have adherence to strict quality control measures and certifications indicating purity and authenticity. Look for certifications from recognized bodies like AYUSH in India, which can help reduce the risk of encountering unwanted additives.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, Muktavati typically focuses on addressing issues related to hypertension with herbs that soothe the vata dosha and balance pitta, while Madhunashini often aims to regulate blood sugar levels and restore equilibrium to kapha and vata doshas. Both their effectiveness and safety hinge on the authenticity of the ingredients.

If you have concerns about contaminants or specific health conditions, it is prudent to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner who can evaluate your individual constitution (prakriti) and advise you based on a thorough understanding of your health context. Further, if any symptoms suggest adverse reactions or you suspect harmful additives, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is advisable to rule out serious risks.
