Thankyou sooo much

Hello Nani ji, I get why you’re curious about using ghee for health reasons – it’s a cool old Ayurvedic thing to do! I’m happy to share how to do it safely at home. YOUR CONCERN – AYURVEDIC VIEW In Ayurveda, putting ghee on the outside, especially on your belly button (Nabhi Chikitsa), is said to: * Balance stuff in your body * Feed your insides * Chill out your nerves * Help with tummy troubles, skin, hormones, and sleep Your belly button (Nabhi) is seen as a key spot for energy and blood movement, tied to lots of tiny body channels. WHICH GHEE IS BEST? * Plain cow’s ghee (A2 is even better if you can find it) * New, clean, and without any smells * If you can, make it yourself Don’t use buffalo ghee or flavored ghee for this. HOW TO DO IT: GHEE ON THE BELLY BUTTON (NABHI CHIKITSA) Steps: 1. At night, before sleeping, lie on your back. 2. Take ½ teaspoon of cow ghee that’s a bit warm. 3. Drop it right into your belly button. 4. Rub it around gently in circles (clockwise) for 1–2 minutes. 5. Leave it there overnight (you can cover it with a soft cloth). WHAT IT HELPS WITH (ACCORDING TO AYURVEDA) If you do it regularly, it might help with: * Sleeping better and less stress * Better digestive function and less dry skin * Feeding your skin and keeping it from getting dry * Good hormone levels * Calm nerves HOW OFTEN? * Every night for 21–40 days if you’re very dry or have issues * Or else, 2–3 times a week to keep things good THINGS TO KNOW: * Don’t put it on a belly button that’s infected, hurt, or pierced * Skip it if you have diarrhea, fever, or tummy issues * Only use a little bit (more isn’t better) OTHER IDEAS (ONLY IF YOU NEED THEM) * If you’re too hot/acidic → Just use cow ghee * For dry skin, constipation, or stress → Cow ghee’s the way to go * If it’s super cold where you are → Warm the ghee up a bit first This is a nice and easy way to take care of yourself with Ayurveda if you do it right. It’s a slow process, so doing it regularly is more important than using a lot. Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

In Ayurveda and folk wellness traditions, applying or dropping ghee in the navel (nabhi) is considered nourishing and balancing for Vata and Pitta doshas. It’s often called Nabhi Puran or Nabhi Taila/Ghrita Abhyanga. 🪷 Ghee Navel Therapy (Nabhi Puran) Method - At bedtime, lie down comfortably on your back. - Warm a little cow’s ghee (just lukewarm, not hot). - Put 2–3 drops directly into the navel. - Gently massage around the navel in circular motion for 3–5 minutes. Benefits (as per Ayurvedic tradition) - Digestive support – helps reduce acidity, bloating, constipation. - Skin nourishment – improves dryness, glow. - Joint and back pain relief – balances Vata, lubricates tissues. - Hormonal balance – said to support reproductive health. - Calming effect – promotes sound sleep. 🌿 Substitutes for Ghee If cow’s ghee is not available or suitable, you can use: - Coconut oil – cooling, good for Pitta and hot climates. - Mustard oil – warming, but stronger; better for cold climates and Vata imbalance. - Sesame oil – balancing, widely used for massage and navel therapy. Warm Regards DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT

Naval ghee drop (Nabhi Chikitsa) is a simple, traditional Ayurvedic practice. It nourishes the body, improves digestion, reduces dryness, supports joints and promotes better sleep & overall vitality. How to Apply Ghee in Navel (Night Routine) Use pure cow ghee (desi ghee, preferably A2 or homemade). Take 3–5 drops of warm (lukewarm) ghee. Lie down flat on your back. Gently pour the drops into the navel (deep enough to stay). Massage around the navel in clockwise circles for 1–2 minutes with your finger (helps absorption). Leave it overnight – no need to wash in the morning (wipe excess if any). Do this every night before sleep. Benefits (regular use) Better digestion & reduced bloating Improved sleep quality Less dryness in skin/joints Gentle detoxification & energy support Calms Vata and good for anxiety, dryness and mild constipation Duration Safe for daily long-term use (months to years). Noticeable improvement usually in 2–4 weeks. Precautions Use only pure cow ghee (not vegetable ghee). If navel area gets irritated or itchy then stop & clean with lukewarm water. Not a substitute for medical treatment if you have serious health issues. Regards Dr Gursimran Jeet Singh MD Panchakarma

Applying ghee on the body and navel is a traditional Ayurvedic practice known to balance Vata, improve digestion, calm the mind, support immunity and enhance overall well being Applying warm pure cow ghee to the navel at night is considered especially beneficial as the navel is the center of energy channels and helps the body absorb nutrients effectively You can follow this simple routine Take pure cow ghee and warm it slightly till it becomes comfortably warm not hot Take 3 to 5 drops of warm ghee and apply directly on the navel before going to bed Gently massage around the navel in clockwise circular motions for 1 to 2 minutes Then leave it overnight and wipe off any excess in the morning You can also apply a small amount of ghee to joints or soles of feet if needed for extra nourishment and warmth Along with external application maintaining a light cooked diet regular hydration gentle yoga and deep breathing exercises will enhance the effects of ghee application on your energy, digestion, sleep and immunity This practice is generally safe but if you have any specific medical conditions or pregnancy consult your doctor before starting Consistent daily practice will support overall health, reduce dryness, improve sleep, calm the mind and boost natural energy levels
