Hello Thanks for coming back! Night sweats, a bitter taste, and feeling tired at 50 are things your body’s trying to tell you. But dont worry – I’m here to help! We can sort this out naturally with the right info and what to do. YOUR CONCERN – Age: 50 – Night sweats, even in winter – Bitter taste a lot – Tired and low energy – Started 1-4 weeks ago Since you didn’t have these before, it sounds like your body’s switching gears. WHAT AYURVEDA SAYS: Ayurveda says after 50, you’re naturally more Vata, but too much Pitta at the same time can cause heat and dryness inside. Looks like you’ve got: 1. Too much internal heat (Pitta Prakopa) This leads to: – Night sweats – Bitter taste – Feeling hot inside – Inflammation 2. Liver & blood heat (Rakta–Pitta Dushti) This causes bitterness and tiredness. 3. Weak digestion (Agni) When you can’t digest well, toxins (Ama) build up, making Pitta worse and leaving you tired. So, the real problem is too much Pitta + Ama + weak digestion WHY NOW? After 50: – Hormones change – Liver’s not as good at detoxing – Digestion slows down So, even normal food can create heat and toxins, leading to night sweats, bitterness, and tiredness. WHAT WE’RE AIMING FOR: – Cool down the extra Pitta – Clean up the blood and liver – Get digestion back on track – Stop night sweats – Get your energy back THE PLAN INTERNAL MEDICATION 1.Guduchi (Giloy) → 1 capsule twice a day after eating (Cools heat, cleans blood, helps your immune system) 2.Avipattikar Churna → ½ teaspoon before bed with warm water (Removes Pitta toxins from your stomach and intestines) 3.Chandanasava → 20 ml twice a day after meals (Cools the liver and stops night sweats) 4.Amalaki Rasayana → 1 teaspoon in the morning (Good antioxidant, balances Pitta and boosts energy) WHAT TO EAT (Really important!) Eat more: – Rice – Moong dal – Coconut water – Pomegranate – Bottle gourd, ridge gourd – Ghee AVOID – Spicy food –Fried food –Alcohol – Tea, coffee – Sour food – Late-night meals Sip warm water all day. LIFESTYLE TIPS - Sleep before 11 PM - Don’t nap during the day - Walk a bit every day - Chill out – avoid getting angry, stressed, or too hot GET CHECKED OUT: Since you’re 50 and getting night sweats, check these: – Fasting & after-meal blood sugar – Thyroid levels – Hemoglobin – Liver test This will help rule out anything else going on. WHAT TO EXPECT: In 2–3 weeks: – Night sweats will be less – Bitter taste will go away – More energy – Feel cooler and lighter Your body’s not broken– it just wants to cool down, get clean, and find its balance. Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

HELLO, Based on your symptoms -night sweats (even in winter) -frequent bitter taste in mouth -fatigue -age around 50 years In Ayurveda, this picture strongly suggests a pitta-dominant disorder with vata associated , commonly seen during Madhyama- vriddha avastha (middle to later age transition) AYURVEDIC VIEW 1) NIGHT SWEATS -Indicates pitta vriddhi (excess heat in the body) -often due to –weak digestion –stress –hormonal changes with age –early dhatu kshaya (tissue depletion) 2) BITTER TASTE IN MOUTH -Classic sign of pitta aggravation Indicates -excess bile -liver digestive system involvement -improper digestion leading to Ama (toxins) 3) FATIGUE Due to -improper nourishment of tissues -disturbed sleep -overheating of body metabolism TREATMENT GOALS -pacify aggravated pitta -correct digestion and liver function -remove ama (toxins) -strengthen tissues and improve energy -stabilize sleep and sweating -prevent progression to chronic metabolic or hormonal disorders INTERNAL MEDICATIONS 1) AVIPATTIKAR CHURNA= 1/2 tsp twice daily with lukewarm water, before meals =reduces excess pitta, improves digestion, relieves bitter taste and acidity 2) GUDUCHI GHAN VATI= 1 tab twice daily after meals =powerful pitta pacifier, improves immunity, reduces fatigue and internal heat 3) AROGYAVARDHINI VATI= 1 tab twice daily after meals =suppots liver function, corrects bile imbalance, helps in bitter taste and metabolism 4) SHATAVARI CAPSULES= 1 cap twice daily after meals with milk =cooling, nourishing, helps hormonal balance, reduces night sweats 5) CHANDRAPRABHA VATI= 1 tab twice dialy after meals =improves energy, supports urinary and metabolic balance DURATION= 6-8 weeks Chronic cases= 3 months EXTERNAL THERAPIES 1) OIL MASSAGE= COCONUT OIL -3-4 times/week =Reduces Vata pitta, improves sleep, reduces night sweating DIET -rice, wheat, barley -milk, ghee -bottle gourd, pumpkin, ash gourd -cucumber, coconut water -sweet fruits (apple, pear, pomegranate) AVOID -spicy, oily, fried foods -excess tea, coffee -sour, fermented foods -alcohol -late night meals HELPFUL DRINKS -coriander seed water soak 1 tsp overnight, boil and drink next day =reduces pitta and bitter taste LIFESTYLE CHANGES -sleep before 10:30 pm -avoid screen exposure at night -reduce stress and overthinknig -avoid day sleep -gentle daily routine YOGA ASANAS -shavasana -vajrasana after meals -paschimottanasana -supta baddha konasana PRANAYAM -Sheetali/sheetkari= 10 rounds -Anulom vilom= 10-15 minutes Excellent for reducing internal heat and night sweats HOME REMEDIES -Amla powder= 1/2 tsp daily with water, natural pitta pacifier -Buttermilk = once daily with roasted cumin, improves digestion -Rose water= 1-2 tsp in water daily, cooling effect Your symptoms are common at this age and very well manageable with Ayurveda when treated early. This condition usually does not indicate a serious illness, but it is a signal from the body that digestion, heat balance, and tissue nourishment need correction With proper medicines, diet , lifestyle correction, ad stress management, most patients see clear improvement within 3-4 weeks Ayurveda works best when followed consistently and patiently DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU DR. At age 50, night sweats + fatigue + bitter taste for a few weeks are most commonly due to: Hormonal changes (menopause or age-related hormone shifts) Acid reflux / digestion issues (very common cause of bitter taste) Thyroid, blood sugar, or vitamin deficiencies What to do now: Avoid late/spicy meals Don’t lie down for 2–3 hours after eating Stay hydrated, sleep cool - do these blood tests (thyroid PROFILE, HbA1C ,RBS, PPBS, CBC, lFT, B12) - YOGA AND LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION - if symptoms persist thereafter will move towards medicines

Night sweats, frequent bitter taste in the mouth, and fatigue at age 50 suggest a Pitta imbalance with early signs of metabolic or hormonal changes (Ayurveda often associates this stage with perimenopausal/andropausal shifts and mild liver heat). Since it’s winter, sweating at night is unusual and points to internal heat rather than external temperature. 1.Pravala pishti 125 mg twice daily with milk or rose water after meals 2.Shatavari capsules 2 cap twice daily with milk after meals 3.Mustarishta 20 ml with 20 ml water twice daily after meals 🔑 Supportive Lifestyle & Diet - Diet: Favor cooling foods (cucumber, coconut water, leafy greens, pomegranate). Avoid spicy, oily, and fermented foods that aggravate Pitta. - Routine: Practice calming yoga (Shitali pranayama, moon salutations). - Sleep: Maintain regular sleep; avoid stimulants like caffeine late in the day. - Seasonal Adaptation: Since it’s winter, emphasize warm but non-heating foods (mung dal soup, barley, gourds). WARM REGARDS DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT
