Hello Wayne,

White patches on the skin after a heart attack and Type 1 diabetes could be due to poor circulation, autoimmunity, or vitiligo. Do you experience numbness, tingling, or slow wound healing? Any itching or scaling on the patches?

For blood purification and skin health, take Mahamanjishthadi Syrup (2 tsp twice daily) and Arogyavardhini Vati (1 tablet twice daily) to detox the liver and improve skin tone. Patol Katurohinyadi Kadha (10 ml twice daily with warm water) helps reduce inflammation and enhances digestion. Neem oil or a mix of Amla and Aloe Vera gel can be applied externally to soothe and heal the skin.

Avoid spicy, processed foods, and excess sugar to prevent further skin damage. Drink Turmeric and Triphala tea for detoxification. If patches spread, consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for deeper detox therapies. Let me know if you have any itching or sensitivity in these areas.

Alright, let’s dig into this a bit. Those white patches popping up could be linked to something like vitiligo or other skin issues, sometimes even stress, affecting you post-heart attack. Stress can swirl up all sorts of things. But that’s a conversation worth having with a medical professional too.

In Ayurveda, skin is a reflection of your inner balance, right? So, when it’s out of whack, it might be a hint that there’s a deeper Dosha imbalance, primarily Pitta and Vata at play here. Your digestion (or Agni) and maybe even emotional stress from your heart event could have sparked this shift.

First things first, smooth out your diet to balance these doshas. Lean into cooling, hydrating foods – think cucumbers, gourds, melons. Avoid too much spicy, fermented, or acidic stuff. Think of your chugging down water but avoiding ice-cold drinks – room temp is your friend here. Also, turmeric is superb anti-inflammatory, you can brew some golden milk (drink it warm before bed).

Lifestyle-wise, try to work some relaxation techniques into your day, especially if stress from the heart attack is hanging about. Regular breathing exercises or even a bit of Yoga Nidra can help. Now and then, a gentle rose or sandalwood-infused oil massage, followed by warm bath, can be soothing for the skin too – it’s calming for Vata disturbances.

If you’re game, dab a cotton ball in neem oil and apply to those white spots. Neem is our go-to for numerous skin conditions. Remember not to go haywire with sun exposure, as your skin alterations might be sensitive, sun definitely isn’t best pal here.

But, here’s a thing, it’s vital to touch base with a dermatologist as well for anything alarming, 'cause there’s stuff we’re mindful of that might need more than ayurveda on its own.

Manage this with help, hey. Ayurveda is great but sometimes you need help from all angles!
