It seems like you’re experiencing symptoms commonly associated with a condition like PCOS — although you mentioned no cysts, the presence of irregular periods, weight gain, and hirsutism do suggest a hormonal imbalance. Ayurveda can offer a helpful complement to your current treatment plan by addressing such imbalances and supporting your overall reproductive health.

Firstly, looking into your diet can be quite beneficial. Ayurveda emphasizes on eating to balance your doshas, especially Kapha in this case due to weight gain. Incorporating more warm, light, and mildly spiced foods such as ginger tea or turmeric milk may aid in balancing Kapha. Avoiding heavy, oily, and sugary foods can also be beneficial. Favoring whole grains like barley and millet, alongside leafy greens, can also support your body.

In your daily routine, developing a regular exercise habit can help in maintaining a healthy weight and reducing insulin resistance, which has a direct impact on hormonal balance. Simple activities like brisk walking or yoga can stimulate Agni or digestive fire, enhancing metabolism and hormonal functions. Consider including poses that target the abdominal area, like Bhujangasana (Cobra pose) or Dhanurasana (Bow pose).

Herbal remedies might offer additional support. Ashwagandha can help reduce stress levels, which can otherwise exacerbate your symptoms, while Shatavari has nourishing effects on the reproductive system. Consult with an herbalist to determine the appropriate dosage.

Stress management through meditation and Pranayama (breathing exercises) also play a crucial role here—try even short, daily sessions of practice. Lack of proper sleep or a high-stress lifestyle can disrupt your cycle, so aim for adequate rest every night.

It’s important to work closely with your healthcare provider to ensure that your approach to managing these symptoms is safe and effective, especially when considering herbal supplements or significant diet changes. This integrated approach can enhance your overall well-being and support a more regular menstrual cycle.
