When experiencing vertigo, especially BPPV and anxiety, it’s crucial to address the root cause and balance your doshas, particularly Vata dosha which is likely imbalanced. Firstly, since the medication doesn’t suit you, its important to consult with your healthcare provider about these reactions. Ayurveda can offer complementary strategies to support your condition.

Dietary Adjustments: Focusing on a Vata-pacifying diet can help. Incorporate warm, cooked, and easily digestible foods like kichari, soups, and stews. Include spices like ginger and turmeric to maintain your agni, or digestive fire, balanced. Avoid cold, dry, and raw foods, as they could aggravate Vata more.

Lifestyle Changes: Steady daily routines are helpful for reducing anxiety. Try going to bed and waking up ay the same time. Include regular gentle exercise like yoga, but avoid any positions that involve head spinning at a rapid past.

Herbal Support: Consider the use of herbs such as Ashwagandha, which can be both grounding and calming, or Brahmi, known for reducing anxiety. Make a simple tea by boiling a small piece of ginger and some Brahmi powder in water, sipping it twice daily.

Pranayama: Practice calming breathing exercises like Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) daily. Starting with 5 minutes, gradually increase to 10-15 minutes to enhance mental clarity and reduce stress.

Abhyanga (Oil Massage): Regularly massaging your body with warm sesame oil can help to nurture and ground Vata dosha. Do this before showering 2-3 times a week.

For the vertigo, an Epley Maneuver guided by a therapist or physician could be helpful to reposition the crystals in your inner ear. Remember, if symptoms persist or become more severe, it’s vital to seek immediate professional medical assistance.

It sounds like you’re experiencing vertigo, which can be quite unsettling, especially when coupled with anxiety and panic attacks. In Siddha-Ayurvedic perspective, vertigo can be connected to an imbalance in the Vata dosha, which governs movement and the nervous system. Here’s some guidance to help manage these symptoms.

For Vata balancing, try practicing Abhyanga (oil massage) with warm sesame oil on the scalp, feet, and body. This can be done before a warm bath or shower, preferably in the morning. It helps ground the Vata energy and calms the nervous system. Focus on gentle movements, allowing the oil to penetrate.

Diet also plays a pivotal role. Avoid cold, raw, and overly dry foods. Instead, consume warm, cooked meals with ghee and mild spices. Incorporate foods like rice, wheat, cooked vegetables, and sweet fruits. Stay hydrated, but avoid cold drinks. Instead, sip on warm herbal teas, such as ginger or chamomile, to soothe and support digestion.

Deep breathing exercises or Pranayama can be helpful in reducing anxiety and stabilizing the mind. Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) is particularly effective. Practice this twice a day, perhaps in the morning and before bed, for around 10 minutes each session.

Ensure you maintain regular sleeping patterns. Going to bed and waking up at the same time helps regulate bodily rhythms, which can soothe Vata-related disturbances.

If your symptoms are severe or do not improve, you should see a healthcare professional. It might be necessary to rule out any underlying conditions that require specific medical attention. Your safety must come first.
