Your symptoms suggest an imbalance of Vata dosha, which is often associated with qualities such as dryness, lightness, and movement. This can result in headache, sensation of heat, loss of appetite, weakness, and muscle pain. Prioritize grounding, nourishing activities and foods to bring balance.
Firstly, address your headache and ear symptoms. You can try warm sesame oil or almond oil. Gently warm the oil to body temperature and apply a few drops into each ear once a day. This can help balance Vata and reduce symptoms of dryness and Vata-related pressure. Ensure oils are pure and not too hot.
For loss of appetite, focus on stimulating agni, your digestive fire. Begin your day with a glass of warm water mixed with a teaspoon of fresh ginger juice and half a teaspoon of honey. This can kindle your digestive fire and enhance appetite. During meals, incorporate warming, easy-to-digest spices like cumin, fennel, and black pepper.
Address weakness by including nourishing foods like khichdi (a mix of rice and lentils) with ghee. Cook it soft, it’s easy on digestion. Add cooked vegetables like carrots and zucchini, which are easier to digest. Ensure meals are freshly cooked and warm as your digestive power may be low right now.
For general Vata pacification, practice daily oil massages (Abhyanga) with sesame oil before a warm bath. This can nourish the skin, tissues and provide overall stability. Keep yourself warm and protect from windy, cool environments as it may aggravate Vata.
For restful sleep and relaxation, try warm milk before bed with a pinch of turmeric and a bit of cardamom powder. It calms nerves and promotes good sleep. However, if symptoms persist or worsen, consider consulting a healthcare professional for further evaluation. Ayurveda is complementary and supportive, but continued severe symptoms require professional assessment.
