Hello Swww, what is your weight & BMR? How much is your hemoglobin? Fasting blood sugar? Have you done any other tests? Also Ultrasound of Uterus is needed to comment further. Alternatively, maintain a healthy diet & lifestyle in PCOS.

In Ayurveda, treating PCOS requires a holistic approach that goes beyond temporary medications to address the root cause and bring lasting balance to the body. Irregular periods often stem from an imbalance in Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas, especially Kapha, which can lead to metabolic and hormonal irregularities. Since your menstrual cycle was regular while on medication but reverted afterward, it suggests that your body may need sustained lifestyle changes and natural support to maintain a regular cycle. Consider adopting a diet low in processed sugars and refined carbs, as these can aggravate Kapha and insulin levels. Regular exercise, yoga, and pranayama can also help balance hormones and support circulation to the reproductive system. Herbs like Shatavari, Ashoka, and Lodhra can nourish and support the reproductive organs, while Triphala helps maintain digestive health, which is crucial in hormonal balance. Stress management is also essential, as it directly impacts menstrual health, so incorporating practices like meditation and mindful breathing can help. Ayurvedic treatments, such as Basti (medicated enema) or Virechana (therapeutic purgation), might also be beneficial under professional guidance to address deeper imbalances. Please consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner to create a personalized treatment plan, as consistency and gradual lifestyle adjustments are key to managing PCOS effectively.

Sounds like quite a rollercoaster with your cycles! When dealing with PCOS, it’s not unusual for your body to react this way. In Ayurveda, we often look at this through the lens of dosha imbalances, specially vata and kapha. PCOS can stemi from kapha blocking the channels and also vata derangement affecting the cycle regularity.

First thing’s first—consider getting back to certain lifestyle routines and dietary adjustments that help balance your unique dosha makeup. Focus on pacifying kapha while managing vata. This means, prefer warm, cooked, light foods; think seasonal vegetables like gourd or squash, light to digest grains like quinoa and lots of warming spices like cumin and ginger in your meals.

Don’t ignore your daily routine. Try to maintain a diurnal rhythm, wake up and sleep at consistent times. Gentle exercises like brisk walking or yoga can do wonders, aim for about 30 minutes a day. Practising pranayama, specially Anulom Vilom and Bhramari could help soothe the nervous system and balancing vata imbalances.

You might want to target specific Ayurvedic herbs. Shatavari and Ashwagandha are known to assist in supporting menopausal health by balancing hormones and improving overall vitality. But do consult an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting any herbal regimen to make sure it’s right for you.

A small nugget—watch your stress levels. PCOS and stress is like gasoline on fire. Meditation or simply spending some time in nature can help bring balance in your mental state.

If, after trying adjustments, things still feel off, maybe get a fresh consultation to diversely adjust your current regime. It’s important to feel supported through such changes. If symptoms persist or worsen, don’t hesitate to reach out to a medical professional.
