For a 65 year old woman with diabetes, thyroid issues and low overall strength Ashwagandhadi lehyam can usually be taken safely, but the dose has to be small because it is slightly sweet and nourishing. She can take half teaspoon after breakfast and dinner with warm milk. It supports energy immunity. Sleep and muscle strength. She should monitor her blood sugar for the first few days, avoid it, taking on an empty stomach And avoid it if he has severe acidity or very high blood sugar fluctuations

HELLO,

-Diabetes happens when the body’s internal “digestive fire” becomes weak. Because of this, food doesn’t get properly converted into energy, and excessive sweetness starts collecting in the body. Overtime, this leads to fatigue, frequent urination, thirst, heaviness, and slow healing

-Thyroid imbalance is seen as a problem of kapha and vata aggravation with agnimandya (slow metabolism). The thyroid controls your body’s metabolism, so when it’s sluggish, you may feel tired, gain weight easily, have dry skin or feel mentally dull

In both cases, the core issue is slow metabolism and low vitality, which Ayurveda addresses by rekindling agni, balancing hormones naturally, and rejuvenating body tissues

TREATMENT GOALS -regulate metabolism and blood sugar -balance thyroid hormone function -strengthen the nervous and endocrine systems -enhance energy and reduce fatigue -detoxify the system and improve digestion -prevent further complications of diabetes like nerve or kidney damage

INTERNAL MEDICATIONS

1) ASHWAGANDHA CHURNA = 1 tsp with warm milk twice daily after meals for 3 months = acts as rejuvenator, improves thyroid activity, enhances energy, reduces stress

2) KANCHANAR GUGGULU= 2 tabs twice daily after meals for 3 months = reduces thyroid swelling, regulates hormone production, detoxifies lymphatic system

3) NISHAKATAKADI KASHAYA= 15ml + warm water before meals twice daily for 3 months =improves insulin sensitivity, balances kapha and fat, reduces sugar levels

YOGA ASANAS -suryanamaskar= improves metabolism, burns fat -ardha matsyendrasana= massages pancreas -dhanurasana= strengthens pancreas -pawanmuktasana = helps digestion - vajrasana= sit in this pose for 10 mins after meals

PRANAYAM -Kapalbhati= 3 rounds of 30 strokes. stimulates pancreas -anulom vilom= 5-10 min for balance and calm -bhastrika= 1-2 min to activate metabolism - bhramari= 5 rounds for stress reduction

HOME REMEDIES -Methi seed water= soak 1 tsp overnight, drink in morning -amla juice + turmeric= 20 ml + pinch of turmeric on empty stomach -bitter gourd juice= 30 ml fresh juice in morning 3-4 times/week - cinnamon powder= 1/2 tsp in warm water daily
