With the goal of conceiving within two months, it is important to adopt practices that support fertility, regulate menstrual health, and build ojas (vitality and immunity), which enhances both physical and mental well-being.

To begin, nourish the reproductive system with herbs like Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) and Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus), which support hormonal balance and strengthen fertility in both men and women. Take 1 teaspoon of Shatavari powder with warm milk each night to promote reproductive health. Ashwagandha can be taken as a supplement or in powder form in the morning to help manage stress, which plays a vital role in conception.

Maintaining digestive health is essential, as proper digestion ensures that nutrients are absorbed effectively to nourish the body and reproductive organs. Triphala taken at bedtime helps support gentle detoxification, which will cleanse the body of any residual ama (toxins). Balancing these doshas, especially Vata, is key because it directly affects your reproductive and nervous system.

Next, your agni, or digestive fire, needs be in good shape. Ayurveda puts a lot of emphasis on the gut. Start with a diet tailored to your dosha - lots of fresh veges, whole grains and healthy fats like ghee. If Pitta is your main dosha, maybe ease up on spicy foods though.

Whether it’s irregular periods or low back pain in 9th month, I try to see the root, not just the label. I’m also involved in Panchakarma protocols—mainly tailored for stree roga—and yeah, sometimes even simple procedures like yoni pichu or basti when done right can make a big shift. That’s something I’ve seen in real time. I work closely with seniors on both clinical diagnosis and designing personalized treatment plans—always thinking about prakriti, vikriti, and also the woman’s mental n emotional space. No one’s just a “PCOD patient” to me—each one has her own story, her own rhythm, and I respect that. I like combining shodhan therapy, aahar advice, rasayana, and sometimes just small daily tweaks. Yoga and breathing practices also play a big part in how I support my patients. Doesn’t matter if they’re 16 or 46—every stage brings its own set of changes, n we need to adapt with care. I also learn to correlate modern diagnostics when needed—blood reports, scans—bcz integration matters. My aim isn’t to pick between Ayurved or modern—it’s to choose what helps her the most in that moment. My goal is to create a space where women feel heard, guided and supported—whether they’re trying to conceive, dealing with pain or just wanting to feel more in sync with their own body again.
