Doctors' responses

Hello Gopal Ji,I would need to know more about your current treatment regimen, including the medications you’re taking for pancreatitis and spinal pain. Have you had any recent imaging (like CT scans or MRIs) to monitor the progression of your condition? Additionally, could you share if you have any digestive issues like bloating, indigestion, or changes in bowel movements, and if you experience any other symptoms like fatigue or weight loss? Also can you share your recent lifestyle pattern as well ?

Chronic calcific pancreatitis is quite a tricky condition, ya know. Since you’ve been dealing with this for 6 years and already getting allopathy treatment, it’s crucial to approach it carefully. Ayurveda can definitely offer some support, though it might not “cure” it in a traditional sense. More like, complement your current treatment and help manage symptoms better.

In Ayurveda, we’d look at this through the lens of dosha imbalances, mostly with Pitta. Think about calming that fiery element. When it comes to diet, you wanna focus on foods that are cooling and less likely to trigger digestive issues, like fresh veggies, grains like barley or brown rice, and cooling herbs such as coriander or fennel. Cutting back on spicy, acidic, and processed foods will help ease the digestive fire and reduce flare-ups.

For pain, including that pesky spinal pain, some gentle yoga could be beneficial. Everything from mild stretches to poses focusing on flexibility and strengthening can assist without overdoing it.

Herbal remedies like Guggulu can also be beneficial for inflammation, but always worth checking with someone knowledgeable before you start anything new, right?

The main thing is don’t swap out what you’re doing with your doctor without chatting to them first. Maybe integrate these aspects, but keep your medical team in the loop. Seeking balance with Ayurveda can with care and consistent effort, definitely give some the relief you’re looking for while keeping it aligned with your lifestyle.
