Ah, panic attacks and anxiety, not fun at all... you've got a lot going on. the first thing I'd say, it's crucial to keep your psychiatrist in the loop about how you're feeling. Medication adjustments are their thing, they're the experts in that realm. Ayurveda can definitely support you along the way tho. Ayurveda sees anxiety as a vata imbalance – too much of that air/space quality running wild. Night shifts can mess with your natural rhythms, and vata dosha likes routine. Try to stick to a consistent sleep and eating schedule as much as possible. It's tougher with night work, I know, but it can help ground you. Breathing exercises like "nadi shodhana" or alternate nostril breath are great to calm vata down. Just 10 minutes daily can make a difference. And if you're into yoga, postures like child's pose or forward folds can be incredibly calming. Diet-wise, warm, cooked foods are your friend – things like soups, stews, and herbal teas. Chamomile tea is soothing for nerves. Try sipping it in the break before your shift. For panic moments, keeping a grounding tool handy, like a small stone or something with texture, might help pull you back to the now when anxiety spikes. Concentrate on the feel of it in your palm if your mind starts racing again. Remember, balance takes time because Ayurveda looks at the long haul. Job stress, night shifts, it's a lot to manage at once, and sometimes just acknowledging that is step one. But never swap or stop meds without chat with your doc first. After all this, if you feel still shaky, let the mental health team know. They wanna help and keep you safe! Sometimes it just takes a mix of mind-body approaches to find your footing.
