Adenomycis - #20597
I am 39 years old , having irregular periods from last 3-4 years.Last year in june did sonography and endometrial thickness was 19.2 mm uterus size 8.9cm , So went through laparoscopic hysterectomy D&C. After that i was on hormonal pills till December so periods were regular. Last period came on 19.3.25 after 2 month and haven't stopped bleeding so was advised to go for sonography again and endometrial thickness is 13.4mm with uterus size 9.2x 4.3x5.6cm , bulky uterus with hyperchonic patches in the myometrium. Doctor advised me to go for either uterus removal or merina insertion. Kindly guide if any treatment available with Ayurveda to cure this. Kindly give genuine advice or any sure treatment available. Given your describing symptoms and medical history, it sounds like you might be dealing with adenomyosis, which is a condition where the inner lining of the uterus breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus (myometrium). While Ayurveda offers supportive approaches, it’s important that you prioritize urgent or critical medical recommendations given by your doctor, such as surgery, especially if conditions are severe. Now, addressing your question from an Ayurvedic perspective:
First, it’s crucial to understand that Ayurveda approaches conditions by addressing the root imbalance rather than just the symptoms. In your case, the imbalance might pertain to Vata and Kapha doshas; Vata because it governs movements in the body like menstrual flow, and Kapha as it relates to tissue growth and can contribute to the heaviness or bulky nature of the uterus.
Diet plays a a crucial role. Focus on a diet that pacifies Vata and Kapha. Warm, light, and easy-to-digest foods are ideal. Avoid cold, heavy, sour, and fermented foods which may exacerbate your symptoms. Foods like boiled vegetables, rice, and spices like turmeric and ginger can support your body’s balance.
Herbal remedies that can be explored under the guidance of a qualified practitioner include Ashoka (Saraca indica) helps support uterine health, and Aloe Vera juice, which is known to cleanse and supports uterine health. But be cautious—herbs may interact with other medications or medical conditions, so professional supervision is essential.
Lifestyle wise, practices like regular Abhyanga (oil massage) with warm sesame oil can calm Vata dosha and support menstrual health. Be mindful of stress, as it can exacerbate Vata imbalances—consider incorporating practices like Yoga and Pranayama, especially those that are slow and grounding.
Despite these suggestions, please understand the integrative nature of health. If your doctor has recommended surgical removal due to potential risks of ignoring the structural changes in the womb, this should take precedence. Especially considering continual bleeding, which may lead to anemia or other complications, do not delay seeking immediate intervention from your healthcare provider.
Remember, while Ayurveda can offer supportive care, always combine these with mainstream medical counsel, especially when the condition can be severe or life-altering.
