Kwashiorkor and Marasmus - Can Ayurveda Help in Nutritional Recovery?

2 answers

My younger cousin, who is just five years old, has been struggling with severe malnutrition for some time now. A few months ago, she was diagnosed with kwashiorkor and marasmus due to a lack of proper nutrition. She has always been a picky eater, but in the past year, her condition worsened because of poor dietary intake and frequent illnesses. The doctors told us that kwashiorkor and marasmus mainly occur due to a severe deficiency of protein and essential nutrients, leading to symptoms like swelling, muscle loss, and extreme weakness. When we first noticed changes in her body, we thought she was just losing weight because of not eating properly. But then her legs started swelling, her skin became dry and cracked, and her hair turned dull and brittle. At times, she also seemed mentally slow, taking longer to respond and being unusually irritable. Her belly appeared bloated even though the rest of her body was extremely thin. The doctors confirmed that these are common signs of kwashiorkor and marasmus, and they recommended nutritional therapy, supplements, and a balanced diet. While we are following the medical advice, I want to explore if Ayurveda offers any natural ways to support her recovery. I have read that Ayurveda focuses on nourishing the body with easily digestible foods and herbal formulations that improve digestion and absorption. Could Ayurvedic herbs help in cases of kwashiorkor and marasmus, especially in improving nutrient absorption? Additionally, are there specific Ayurvedic tonics or Rasayana therapies that can promote weight gain and muscle restoration in children suffering from kwashiorkor and marasmus? Since she has a weak digestive system, we need something that won’t be too heavy for her stomach. We are also concerned about long-term effects—can Ayurveda help prevent future nutritional deficiencies and strengthen her immune system? Are there lifestyle and dietary recommendations that can ensure she doesn’t relapse into kwashiorkor and marasmus again? Looking forward to Ayurvedic insights on how to manage and recover from kwashiorkor and marasmus naturally.

In Ayurveda, kwashiorkor and marasmus are linked to severe Agni (digestive fire) weakness, leading to poor absorption of nutrients and depletion of Ojas (vital energy). These conditions are associated with an imbalance in Vata and Pitta doshas, causing extreme weight loss, muscle wasting, and weakened immunity. Ayurvedic management focuses on nourishing, easily digestible foods and Rasayana (rejuvenating) therapies to restore strength and immunity. To improve nutrient absorption, light yet nourishing foods should be given. Start with moong dal khichdi (lentil-rice porridge), fresh homemade butter, ghee, and warm milk to provide essential proteins and fats. Almond paste, dates, and soaked raisins help in natural weight gain. Ayurvedic herbal formulations like Shatavari, Ashwagandha, and Bala mixed with honey or milk can support growth and digestion. Drakshasava and Chyawanprash are excellent for building immunity and strength in children suffering from kwashiorkor and marasmus. Since digestion is weak, heavy foods should be avoided. Instead, give herbal teas with ginger, fennel, or ajwain to enhance Agni and improve nutrient absorption. Abhyanga (gentle oil massage) with warm sesame or Bala oil can help strengthen muscles, nourish tissues, and improve circulation. Practicing simple yoga stretches or playful activities can also aid in recovery by improving metabolism and energy levels. For long-term prevention, it’s essential to provide a balanced diet rich in protein, healthy fats, and micronutrients. Foods like ragi (finger millet), makhana (fox nuts), and cow’s ghee should be included regularly. Keeping stress levels low, maintaining a proper sleep routine, and ensuring gut health with buttermilk or Triphala-infused water can prevent future relapses. If managed well with Ayurvedic nutrition and Rasayana therapy, children can recover from kwashiorkor and marasmus effectively and regain their strength.

manjapitham symptoms

1 answers

For the past few months, my cousin has been dealing with frequent yellowish discoloration of the skin and eyes, accompanied by fatigue and digestive discomfort. We recently consulted an Ayurvedic practitioner, who mentioned that this could be related to Manjapitham. While I understand that Manjapitham is the Tamil and Siddha term for jaundice, I want to explore its symptoms in depth and understand how Ayurveda treats it naturally. From what I have read, Manjapitham symptoms include yellowing of the skin and eyes, weakness, loss of appetite, nausea, and dark urine, which are often associated with liver dysfunction. Since Ayurveda considers the liver as a seat of Pitta dosha, does this mean that jaundice is mainly caused by an aggravated Pitta imbalance? If so, what are the root causes of this condition according to Ayurveda? One of my cousin’s biggest concerns is the constant fatigue and weakness he feels throughout the day. Even after getting enough rest, he wakes up feeling exhausted. Could this be due to Ama (toxins) accumulating in the liver? Does Ayurveda suggest specific detox therapies, such as Panchakarma or herbal liver cleanses, to remove these toxins and restore energy levels? Another troubling symptom he has is poor digestion and bloating. He often complains of a heavy stomach and a lack of appetite, especially in the mornings. I have read that when Pitta is imbalanced, it can disturb Agni (digestive fire), leading to sluggish digestion. What are the best Ayurvedic remedies, foods, or herbal formulations to improve digestion while managing Manjapitham symptoms? We are also concerned about whether diet plays a role in aggravating jaundice. My cousin used to consume a lot of spicy, fried, and processed foods, and I suspect this might have contributed to his condition. Should he completely avoid Pitta-aggravating foods like chilies, fermented foods, and heavy meats? What does Ayurveda recommend as the best diet for Manjapitham, and are there specific cooling herbs or juices that help in liver detoxification? Since Manjapitham affects the liver, I wonder if Ayurveda suggests any herbal medicines like Bhumyamalaki, Kutki, or Punarnava that can help repair liver function naturally. Are there any time-tested Ayurvedic tonics that strengthen the liver and prevent recurrence? We want to approach this condition holistically rather than just relying on temporary symptomatic relief. What are the best Ayurvedic treatments, herbs, and lifestyle practices to heal Manjapitham symptoms naturally and ensure that my cousin’s liver stays healthy in the long run?

It sounds like your cousin is experiencing symptoms consistent with Manjapitham, which Ayurveda indeed relates to an imbalance in Pitta dosha, particularly affecting liver function. The symptoms of yellowish discoloration of the skin and eyes, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, and dark urine indicate that the liver is compromised, which can be due to various factors like poor diet, lifestyle stresses, or even environmental toxins. The accumulation of Ama, or toxins, can certainly contribute to feelings of fatigue and weakness, as well as poor digestion. In Ayurveda, it is recognized that when Pitta is aggravated, it disrupts Agni, leading to sluggish digestion and the heaviness your cousin is feeling. To address these issues, Ayurvedic treatments can focus on detoxifying the liver and improving digestion. Firstly, for dietary recommendations, it’s essential for your cousin to avoid all Pitta-aggravating foods, which include spicy, fried, and processed foods. Instead, a diet rich in fresh, organic fruits and vegetables is recommended, particularly those that are cooling and hydrating, such as cucumbers, melons, and greens. Bitter vegetables like bitter gourd, as well as wholesome grains like barley and millet, can aid digestion and detoxification. Incorporating cooling herbs such as coriander and mint in meals can further help balance Pitta. In terms of herbal support, Bhumyamalaki is an excellent choice for liver health, along with Kutki, known for its detoxifying properties. Punarnava can also be beneficial for its tonifying effects on the liver and kidneys. These herbs can be taken in the form of powders or tinctures, ideally under the guidance of an Ayurvedic practitioner for proper dosing. For detox therapies, Panchakarma could be an option, as it would help clear Ama and restore Agni. However, a milder approach involving daily practices could also be effective. Gentle detoxification can start with warm lemon water in the morning and a simple Ayurvedic liver cleanse with triphala before bed. Lifestyle changes are equally important. Encourage your cousin to establish a routine that includes gentle exercises like yoga or walking, which can enhance digestion and bolster energy. Regular sleep patterns, mindfulness practices like meditation, and stress reduction techniques can also support liver health. To support long-term liver health, it's crucial for your cousin to develop a routine that includes these dietary changes, herbal therapies, and lifestyle practices. This holistic approach will not just address the symptoms of Manjapitham but also promote overall wellbeing. It’s recommended to work closely with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner who can monitor his progress and make adjustments to his treatment as needed.

I recently came across Bael leaves (Bilva Patra) and read that they have many health benefits, especially in Ayurveda. I want to understand—what are the best benefits of Bael leaves, and how should they be used? One of the most common benefits I found is that Bael leaves are great for digestion. Many people say that consuming Bael leaf juice helps with indigestion, bloating, and constipation. Has anyone tried using Bael leaves for gut health, and what is the best way to take them? I also read that Bael leaves are used in managing diabetes. Some Ayurvedic practitioners recommend drinking Bael leaf tea or juice to regulate blood sugar levels. But how effective is it, and how frequently should it be taken? Another benefit of Bael leaves is that they are known for their cooling and detoxifying properties. Some people say that drinking Bael leaf juice in summer helps prevent heatstroke and keeps the body cool. Does it actually work, and how should it be prepared? I also came across information that Bael leaves are used in religious and spiritual practices, especially in Hindu traditions. They are often offered to Lord Shiva. Is there any special significance of Bael leaves in Ayurvedic spiritual healing? Lastly, are there any side effects of consuming Bael leaves? I read that they are generally safe, but should they be avoided in certain conditions, like low blood pressure or pregnancy? If anyone has been using Bael leaves for health benefits, please share your experience! I’d love to know the best ways to include them in daily life for digestion, immunity, and overall wellness.

Bael leaves (Bilva Patra) offer a wide range of health benefits, especially in Ayurveda. They are primarily known for their digestive properties, helping with indigestion, bloating, and constipation. Bael leaf juice, when consumed regularly, can help soothe the stomach lining and improve digestion. To use, you can extract fresh juice from the leaves or boil them in water to make a soothing Bael leaf tea. Regular consumption of Bael leaf juice or powder can support gut health and aid in detoxification. Bael leaves are also recognized for their ability to regulate blood sugar levels, making them beneficial for diabetes management. Drinking Bael leaf tea or juice can help control insulin levels and improve metabolism. Ayurveda recommends consuming 1-2 teaspoons of Bael leaf powder or a cup of tea once or twice a day, but results vary depending on individual conditions. It's essential to monitor blood sugar levels while using this remedy and consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice. Bael leaves are also valued for their cooling properties, especially during hot weather. Drinking Bael leaf juice in the summer can help prevent heatstroke and maintain body temperature. To prepare, you can blend fresh Bael leaves with water or make a decoction. Additionally, Bael leaves hold religious significance in Hinduism, often being offered to Lord Shiva as a symbol of devotion. While Bael leaves are generally safe, they should be avoided by individuals with low blood pressure or pregnant women without professional consultation due to their potential effects On circulation.

Ayurveda Video

1 answers

I’ve been curious about Ayurveda for a while, but honestly, reading long articles or books about it just feels overwhelming. Recently, I came across an Ayurveda video on YouTube, and it really caught my attention because it explained concepts like doshas and natural healing in such a simple way. After watching that, I started wondering how much I could learn about Ayurveda just through videos. My main issue is that I struggle with low energy, poor digestion, and random skin problems. I feel like these might be connected in some way, but I don’t know how to figure out the root cause. Watching that Ayurveda video gave me the idea that lifestyle changes and diet might help, but it didn’t go into enough detail. Are there Ayurveda videos that focus on specific issues like digestion, skin health, or boosting energy levels Also, I noticed a lot of Ayurveda videos mention detox teas, yoga practices, and avoiding certain foods like fried or spicy dishes. While some of this makes sense, I’m a little skeptical about whether everything in these videos is accurate. How can I tell if an Ayurveda video is giving good advice, and is it okay to follow general tips without consulting a doctor Another thing I’m wondering is whether Ayurveda videos are enough to start making changes in my routine or if I should look for a consultation first. I’m not ready to commit to anything too drastic, but small steps would be great. Are there any Ayurveda videos you’d recommend for beginners or for learning about things like balancing doshas or natural remedies If you knows of good Ayurveda videos that explain treatments or daily habits in detail, please let me know. I’d also like to understand how these videos compare to seeing an actual Ayurvedic practitioner.

Ayurveda videos can be a great way to learn about holistic health practices, especially if you're looking for easy-to-understand explanations on topics like digestion, skin health, and energy levels. Many videos do focus on specific issues, such as improving digestion, boosting energy, and promoting clear skin, through lifestyle changes, diet adjustments, and yoga practices. You can find videos that explain balancing doshas, natural remedies, and detox teas, but it's important to ensure the content is from credible sources. Look for channels run by certified Ayurvedic practitioners or professionals with a background in Ayurveda, as they are more likely to provide accurate information. It's okay to start incorporating general tips from videos, like adjusting your diet or adding gentle yoga, but it's best to avoid drastic changes without consulting a healthcare professional, especially if you have underlying conditions. Small steps, like trying a balanced diet or reducing spicy foods, can help, but a consultation with an Ayurvedic practitioner might provide a more personalized approach. For beginners, channels like The Ayurveda Experience or Yoga with Adriene offer accessible content. Remember, while videos can provide valuable insights, consulting a practitioner is ideal for tailored advice on your specific health concerns.

how to increase blood oxygen level

1 answers

I’ve been feeling fatigued and short of breath lately, and after some tests, I was told that my blood oxygen levels are a bit lower than normal. I’m concerned about what this means for my health and what I can do to increase blood oxygen levels naturally. Could you explain what low oxygen levels in the blood indicate and how they affect overall health? From what I understand, low blood oxygen levels could be related to a variety of factors, including respiratory issues, heart conditions, or even sleep apnea. How do doctors determine the cause of low oxygen levels, and what tests or assessments are typically needed to identify the underlying issue? I’m curious about ways I can naturally increase blood oxygen levels. Are there specific breathing exercises, physical activities, or lifestyle changes that can help boost oxygen intake and improve my lung function? How important is it to engage in regular aerobic exercise, like walking or swimming, for enhancing oxygenation? I’ve also heard that spending time at higher altitudes can have an effect on oxygen levels. Does altitude affect the oxygen in the blood, and can it be beneficial to spend time in places with lower atmospheric pressure? Additionally, how does diet play a role in oxygen levels? Are there any specific foods or nutrients that support healthy blood oxygen levels? Lastly, I’m wondering if I should be concerned about the long-term effects of low blood oxygen. Can chronic low oxygen levels lead to complications such as organ damage or impaired function, or is it something that can be managed with the right treatment and lifestyle adjustments? If you have any advice on ways to increase blood oxygen levels and improve overall health, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Low blood oxygen levels, or hypoxemia, can indicate underlying issues such as respiratory problems, heart conditions, or even sleep apnea, affecting your body's ability to function optimally. While it's essential to have a healthcare provider evaluate these symptoms, Ayurveda can offer supportive practices. To enhance your blood oxygen levels naturally, consider incorporating deep breathing exercises into your daily routine. Pranayama techniques, such as Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) and Kapalabhati (skull shining breath), can significantly improve lung capacity and oxygen uptake. Aim to practice these for 10-15 minutes daily. Regular aerobic exercise, like walking or swimming, is highly beneficial as it enhances cardiovascular health and lung function; try to engage in these activities for at least 30 minutes most days of the week. Altitude can indeed influence oxygen levels; spending time in higher altitudes may stimulate your body to produce more red blood cells, enhancing oxygen transport. However, acclimatization is crucial, so approach this gradually. Regarding diet, focus on foods rich in iron, like dark leafy greens, legumes, nuts, and quinoa, as iron is vital for hemoglobin production. Incorporating vitamin C-rich foods, such as citrus fruits and bell peppers, can enhance iron absorption. Be consistent with a balanced diet emphasizing fresh, whole foods. Chronic low oxygen levels can lead to complications like organ dysfunction. It’s crucial to monitor your levels and consult with healthcare professionals for tailored interventions. Combining these Ayurvedic principles with modern medical guidance can empower you to maintain better oxygenation and overall health. Prioritize your well-being, and consider scheduling regular follow-ups to assess your progress.

What is the best Ayurvedic treatment for cough?

2 answers

I’ve been dealing with a nagging cough and want to know about Ayurvedic treatments. What is the best Ayurvedic treatment for cough, and how does it provide long-lasting relief? Ayurvedic treatments for cough focus on addressing the root cause, which may stem from an imbalance in the doshas. One of the most recommended treatments is Trikatu Churna, a blend of ginger, black pepper, and long pepper, known to reduce kapha and improve respiratory health. Is it more effective for wet cough, or can it also work for dry cough? Another widely used remedy is Dashamoola Kashayam, a decoction of ten medicinal roots that reduce inflammation and improve lung function. Should this be consumed daily, and how quickly does it provide noticeable results? For dry coughs, Ayurveda suggests chewing mulethi (licorice root) or consuming honey mixed with ginger juice. Does this combination work immediately, or is it better suited for long-term relief? Additionally, Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of lifestyle changes like avoiding cold and processed foods and practicing pranayama to strengthen the lungs. Are there specific pranayama techniques that work best for managing chronic coughs? If anyone has used Ayurvedic treatments for cough, I’d love to hear your experiences. Which remedies worked best for you, and how quickly did you recover?

Ayurvedic treatments for cough focus on balancing the doshas, particularly by addressing imbalances in kapha and vata that contribute to respiratory issues. Trikatu Churna, a blend of ginger, black pepper, and long pepper, is effective for both wet and dry coughs, as it clears mucus, stimulates digestion, and supports lung function. For dry coughs, remedies like mulethi (licorice root) and a mix of honey and ginger juice can soothe irritation and provide long-term relief by reducing inflammation and improving throat health. Dashamoola Kashayam, a decoction of ten medicinal roots, is beneficial for improving lung health and reducing inflammation, though it may take a few days to show noticeable results. Ayurveda also emphasizes pranayama techniques such as ujjayi and bhastrika to strengthen the lungs, improve oxygen flow, and manage chronic coughs. Regular consumption of these remedies, along with lifestyle adjustments like avoiding cold and processed foods, can offer lasting relief from coughing and improve overall respiratory health.

What are the real dried gooseberry benefits?

1 answers

I recently bought a pack of dried gooseberries (Amla) because I heard they are really good for health. I know fresh Amla is a superfood, but I want to understand if dried gooseberry benefits are just as effective. Most people say Amla is great for immunity and digestion, but does drying it reduce its nutrients? If I eat dried Amla daily, will it still give me the same benefits as fresh Amla juice? I’ve also read that dried gooseberry benefits include better hair and skin health. How exactly does it work? Should I just eat it raw, or is it better to soak it in water? Some people say Amla helps with premature graying—has anyone experienced real results from eating dried Amla regularly? Another thing—I have acidity issues, and I read somewhere that Amla is good for digestion but can also be sour. Will dried Amla make acidity worse, or is it safe to eat? Would love to hear from someone who has been taking dried Amla regularly. How do you consume it? How much should I take daily? And how long does it take to see any real health improvements?

Dried gooseberries (Amla) still offer a significant amount of health benefits similar to fresh Amla, though there might be some minor nutrient loss during the drying process. However, they remain rich in Vitamin C, antioxidants, and fiber, which are essential for immunity, digestion, and overall health. Here's what you can expect: 1. Benefits of Dried Amla: Immunity Boost: Dried Amla still retains its high Vitamin C content, which is crucial for strengthening the immune system. Digestion: It is known to regulate digestive processes and can help in relieving constipation, bloating, and indigestion. The fiber content helps in improving gut health. Hair and Skin Health: Dried Amla is great for improving hair health by promoting hair growth and reducing hair fall. It can also reduce premature graying and promote skin radiance due to its rich antioxidant properties. 2. How to Consume Dried Amla: Soaking: Soaking dried Amla in water overnight and consuming it the next morning is an effective method. This softens the fruit and allows better absorption of its nutrients. Raw: You can eat it directly, but it might be slightly tart or sour. Some people prefer to sprinkle a bit of rock salt or honey to make it more palatable. Powder: Another common way is to grind dried Amla into powder and mix it with warm water or add it to smoothies and juices. 3. Amla and Acidity: Acidity: While Amla is sour, it does not generally worsen acidity. In fact, it is known for its ability to balance stomach acids. If you're concerned about the sour taste, soaking it can help reduce its acidity, or you can consume it with a pinch of salt or honey, which can balance its effects. 4. Dosage: How Much to Take: A typical daily dose is about 1-2 dried Amla fruits or around 1 teaspoon of Amla powder. Start slow if you're new to it to see how your body reacts, especially if you have acidity issues. 5. Results Timeline: How Long to See Results: While the effects on hair and skin health might take a few weeks to notice, for overall health benefits like immunity and digestion, you should start feeling improvements within 1-2 weeks of consistent use. Summary: Dried Amla offers almost the same benefits as fresh Amla, but soaking it or consuming it in powder form can help maximize absorption. It aids in immunity, digestion, and hair and skin health. If you have acidity, dried Amla is safe to consume and may even help balance stomach acid.

For the past couple of months, I’ve had a really sensitive stomach. Every time I eat something spicy or even slightly oily, it feels like my stomach is revolting. I heard about bilwadi vati from a family member who swears by it for gut issues. Does anyone know how bilwadi vati actually works? From what I understand, it’s supposed to strengthen digestion and help with conditions like IBS or ulcers. Is it safe to take on a daily basis, or is it only for short-term use? I also want to know what goes into bilwadi vati. Are the ingredients all-natural, and does it have any known side effects? If anyone has used it for acid reflux or to calm their stomach, did it really help? Can it be combined with other Ayurvedic medicines, or should it be taken alone? And is there anything I should avoid eating or drinking while taking bilwadi vati? I’d love to hear your experiences.

What Are the Best Remedies to Cure Diabetes Naturally Without Medication?

I have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes, and instead of relying on medication, I want to explore remedies to cure diabetes naturally through diet, herbs, and Ayurvedic therapies. Ayurveda focuses on balancing blood sugar naturally by improving metabolism and pancreatic function. Some of the most well-known natural remedies for diabetes include Gurmar (sugar destroyer herb), Vijaysar (for pancreas health), Fenugreek seeds (for insulin sensitivity), and Triphala (for digestion and detoxification). But how effective are these in controlling diabetes without medication? For those who have successfully managed diabetes naturally, what lifestyle changes, herbs, or Ayurvedic remedies worked best for you? Would love to hear from people who have used natural treatments for diabetes and whether they provided long-term blood sugar stability.

Natural remedies like Gurmar (sugar destroyer), Vijaysar (for pancreas support), Fenugreek seeds (for insulin sensitivity), and Triphala (for digestion and detox) are commonly used in Ayurveda for managing pre-diabetes. These herbs may help regulate blood sugar and improve metabolism naturally. Lifestyle changes such as a low-glycemic diet, regular yoga, intermittent fasting, and daily exercise are also essential for controlling blood sugar without medication. Many people have found long-term stability by combining Ayurvedic remedies with healthy habits. Consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized guidance before starting.

Thank u so much doctor. The information is very useful. I'll follow that.
Roshini,
About Dr. Harsha Joy
A massive thank you to Dr. Harsha and this forum, honestly, I still can’t believe I’m finally better. For years I was dealing with this awful pain in my lower back and hips, especially when I sat for more than 10 minutes. It felt like someone stabbing me over and over. I couldn’t work properly, couldn’t enjoy family dinners, even short car rides were unbearable. I tried so many things—physiotherapy, meds, chiropractors, acupuncture, even weird devices that claimed to fix back pain. Nothing worked. I was so frustrated and kind of gave up, thinking maybe this is just my life now. Then, randomly one night, I found this forum. I didn’t expect much but thought I’d give it a try. Dr. Harsha replied to my question, and honestly, her response felt so personal. She explained everything clearly how my problem might be connected to imbalances in my body and not just something physical. She gave me a plan: some yoga stretches, herbal oils for massage, and a few Ayurvedic supplements. She even suggested small lifestyle changes, like how to sit better and take regular breaks during the day. I didn’t think it would work, but after a couple of weeks, I started to notice the pain easing. Sitting didn’t hurt as much, and my back felt looser. Over the next couple of months, the pain kept getting better. Now, I can sit through a whole day at work, go out with friends, and even travel without worrying about pain. Dr. Harsha, you’ve honestly changed my life. Thank you so much for your help and to this forum for connecting me with her!
Jake London,
About Dr Sujal Patil
A huge thank you to Dr. Sujal and this amazing forum! I honestly never thought I’d find relief from the problem I was dealing with for so long. For years, I struggled with terrible digestive issues bloating, stomach cramps, and this constant feeling of heaviness after every meal. It didn’t matter what I ate, even the so-called “healthy” stuff would mess me up. Some days I’d feel fine, and then the next, I’d be in so much discomfort I couldn’t even focus on work or enjoy time with my family. I tried everything antacids, probiotics, different diets, cutting out foods one by one nothing worked for more than a week or two. Doctors just kept saying it was IBS and gave me more meds, but I was tired of taking pills that didn’t actually fix anything. Then I randomly came across this forum, while scrolling late at night looking for help. I posted my story, not really expecting much, but Dr. Sujal replied, and wow, I’m so glad she did. Her advice was so practical and made sense in a way no one else had explained before. She said my issues could be related to weak digestion and recommended a complete Ayurvedic approach to strengthen it. She suggested drinking warm water with a bit of ginger and lemon first thing in the morning, avoiding cold or raw foods, and eating lighter meals in the evening. She also told me to use some herbal powders like Trikatu to boost my digestion and add a few specific spices like cumin and fennel to my cooking. She even taught me some breathing exercises to help calm my gut when I felt stressed. Within a week of following her plan, I started feeling lighter, and my bloating reduced significantly. Over the next month, the cramps completely stopped, and I could eat meals without that horrible heavy feeling afterward. I honestly can’t believe how much better I feel now, and I haven’t touched an antacid in weeks! Dr. Sujal, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You didn’t just help me heal physically but also gave me confidence that I can manage my health naturally. This forum is a blessing, and I’m so glad I found it!
