Your symptoms following gallbladder and stent removal, such as stomach contractions and difficulty digesting certain foods, suggest that your digestive system may need some support to recover fully. Ayurveda has several approaches that can help restore digestive balance and alleviate discomfort. Understanding your digestive fire or 'agni' is key here. After removal of the gallbladder, which assists in bile production, your 'agni' might be a bit compromised, often leading to symptoms like stomach contractions and poor digestion. First, focus on simplicity in diet. Prefer cooked over raw foods, and gradually introduce warm, light, and easy-to-digest meals. Start your day with a glass of warm water infused with a teaspoon of ginger juice and a pinch of turmeric. These help in kindling your 'agni' and improving digestion. For breakfast, consider warm porridge made from cracked wheat or rice, as they are gentle on the stomach. Avoid cold or iced beverages, as they can further diminish digestive fire. Foods like Palak Channa can be hard to digest due to their fiber and protein content. Instead, try vegetables like cooked zucchini, carrots, or soft cooked squash that are easier on the stomach. You can gradually reintroduce legumes by starting with mung dal, which are easier to digest compared to heavier beans. Integrating digestive spices can also be beneficial. Season meals with cumin, coriander, fennel, and ajwain – these spices help in reducing bloating and aiding digestion. Moreover, adopt a routine to eat meals at regular intervals. Chew your food thoroughly and eat in a calm, relaxed environment. Post-meal, ensure gentle physical activity like a short walk, which can support digestion. From an Ayurvedic remedial perspective, Triphala churna taken at bedtime may help tone the digestive tract and relieve gastrointestinal discomfort. Begin with half a teaspoon in warm water, adjusting as per your body's response. Should the symptoms persist or intensify, it’s crucial you consult with a healthcare provider to rule out any serious complications and tailor a more specific approach. Remember, your health is paramount, and it's important your recovery process is supported by appropriate measures both modern and traditional.
