Addressing your concerns about acne scars and hair issues requires a holistic Ayurvedic approach, considering your dosha and overall lifestyle. Acne scars, particularly on an oily skin, are often associated with an imbalance in the Pitta dosha, while hair fall and weak hair may be linked to both Vata and Pitta imbalances. For the acne scars, a good starting point is integrating both dietary changes and topical treatments. Begin by reducing spicy, oily, and fried foods from your diet as they aggrevate Pitta. Cooling foods like cucumber, watermelon, and leafy greens are beneficial. Stay hydrated: your focus should be consuming 8-10 glasses of water to help flush out toxins. Topically, you may try a paste of sandalwood and rosewater applied to your face each night before bed. It's a traditional Ayurvedic remedy that's cooling and helps to balance Pitta. You can only do this for 15 - 20 minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water. Incorporate aloe vera gel, a natural soothing agent, which can help in rejuvenating your skin. For hair fall, nurturing your hair roots with oils can be soothing. Massaging your scalp gently with warm bhringraj oil or bhrami oil can help strengthen the hair follicles and promote healthy growth. You could do this twice a week, leaving the oil in for about an hour before shampoo your hair out. In terms of medication, look for Ayurvedic supplements like Amalaki (Indian Gooseberry), which is rich in vitamin C. It's known to support both skin and hair health by balancing Pitta. This could be consumed as a juice or a powder, but should be done under the guidance of an Ayurvedic practitioner to ensure proper dosing and suitability. A regular routine of yoga and meditation is also recommended. Practices such as pranayama and asanas like Surya Namaskar can help balance your doshas and improve overall circulation within your body. Remember, changes takes time so be patient as your body adjusts. However, if you notice any adverse reactions, or if your symptoms worsen, it would be best to consult a healthcare professional.
