Eczema can be a real pain, I feel you. It’s itchy, uncomfortable, and often leaves those dark patches that you're talking about. In Ayurveda, this condition is often related to an imbalance of the Pitta and Kapha doshas, linked with heat and dampness in the body that might also affect your skin. Here are a few things you could try: First, focus on cooling your body down. Pitta’s the fiery dosha here, so going for foods that are naturally cooling can help. Think coconut water, cucumbers, and leafy greens. Avoid spices, fried foods, and things like caffeine which can aggravate Pitta. Aloe vera gel is great for soothing. You can apply fresh gel directly to your skin where it itches or feels patchy. Turmeric too has anti-inflammatory properties. Mix a little turmeric powder with water to make a paste. Put it on the affected areas for about 15 minutes before rinsing off. It helps lighten dark patches with regular use. For itching, neem oil can work wonders. You might find it a bit smelly, but it helps soothe and reduce skin lesions. Gently massage it onto your skin and let it soak before washing it off. If neem oil feels a bit too much, neem powder baths work too. Just dissolve a bit in water and use it to rinse. Supple skin comes with good hydration, so don’t skimp on your water intake. Sometimes it’ the simplest things that make the biggest difference. Also do consider stress-reduction techniques like yoga or meditation since stress can really mess up your skin. It’s like calming the mind calms the skin, weirdly enough. In case things don't improve, it might be wise to check in with a professional, you know? Sometimes a tailored ayurvedic assessment can target more specific imbalances or give treatments like Panchakarma if later on necessary. There's no denying severe symptoms shouldn’t be overlooked. Hope you find these tips helpful, anything more, let me know!
