Doctors’ responses

Swelling and lymph nodes in areas like the thigh or near the genitalia can indeed be concerning, and it's understandable you're feeling tense about it. So first things first, not every swollen lymph node means cancer, often they're a sign that your body's fighting something off, like an infection. The radiologist you've seen advised antibiotics which suggests they suspect an infection, so it's best to complete those antibiotics—sometimes nodes swell up just 'cause your body's on guard against pathogens. Now speaking from an Ayurvedic perspective, we focus not just on symptoms but balancing your doshas and strengthening your immunity, or "Ojas." Since you're already on meds, consider complementing it instead of replacing it. Turmeric is a powerful natural anti-inflammatory; try adding it to warm milk, perhaps daily. Another thing, ginger tea can help support your immune system and might ease tensions too, it's soothing. Keep an eye on the node; if it stays same or grows — you might want to consult a doc for further tests but seriously, let’s not jump to conclusions yet. Regular massage with warm sesame oil around the area (don't press the nodes directly) can stimulate circulation, helping the body get rid of toxins. Diet's key too—avoid processed foods, focus on lighter, cooked meals; kichari or oatmeal could be calming on an uneased stomach. And, staying relaxed is important, stress isn't going to help your immune system. Maybe a bit of yoga, breathing exercises will keep you centered while you navigate this uncertainty. In Ayurveda we often talk about Agni, your digestive fire, being crucial for health — maybe include cumin, coriander, and fennel tea to support digestion and metabolism, it could definitely aid your recovery. Consult a doctor if there's no improvement or if you notice more worrisome symptoms, self-care's great but doesn't replace professional advice in tricky situations. Don't be shy to reach out again, anytime.
