Dr. Manjula
I am a dedicated Ayurveda practitioner with a deep-rooted passion for restoring health through traditional Ayurvedic principles. My clinical approach revolves around understanding the unique constitution (Prakruti) and current imbalance (Vikruti) of each individual. I conduct comprehensive consultations that include Prakruti-Vikruti Pareeksha, tongue examination, and other Ayurvedic diagnostic tools to identify the underlying causes of disease, rather than just addressing symptoms. My primary focus is on balancing the doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—through individualized treatment plans that include herbal medicines, therapeutic diets, and lifestyle modifications. I believe that healing begins with alignment, and I work closely with my patients to bring the body, mind, and spirit into harmony using personalized, constitution-based interventions. Whether managing chronic conditions or guiding preventive health, I aim to empower patients through Ayurvedic wisdom, offering not just relief but a sustainable path to well-being. My practice is rooted in authenticity, guided by classical Ayurvedic texts and a strong commitment to ethical, patient-centered care. I take pride in helping people achieve long-term health outcomes by integrating ancient knowledge with a modern, practical approach. Through continuous learning and close attention to every detail in diagnosis and treatment, I strive to deliver meaningful, natural, and effective results for all my patients.

Hello, Yes. There is treatments and ayurveda medicines to manage schizophrenia. If she is on allopathy medications, ayurveda is a good supportive medication. But need to know the history, symptoms, investigation details, current prescription before giving a detailed answer/you can always meet a nearby ayurveda doctor. Take care. Kind regards.

Schizophrenia is a complex condition that typically requires a multifaceted approach for management. While modern medicine, with its antipsychotic medications, often forms the core of treatment, complimentary approaches from Ayurveda can support overall well-being and mental balance. First and foremost, it is critical to continue any prescribed allopathic treatment and consult regularly with a mental health professional. Ayurveda does not replace conventional treatments but can be a supportive element provided it's practiced safely alongside these treatments. In Ayurveda, mental wellness is closely linked to balancing the doshas, particularly Vata dosha. An imbalanced Vata is often associated with nervous system disorders, so stabilizing it can be beneficial. Incorporating a daily routine that focuses on calming Vata can immensely aid your daughter. Warm, nourishing foods like kitchari, cooked with ghee, and seasoned with digestive spices like cumin and coriander, can be soothing. Abhyanga, a daily self massage with warm sesame oil, can help ground and calm the mind. Encourage her to practice gentle yoga or pranayam breathing exercises regularly. Nadi Shodhana or alternate nostril breathing is especially balancing for the Vata dosha. Consider herbal supplements with caution after discussing with a qualified practitioner. Medhya Rasayanas such as Brahmi can potentially aid in cognitive support, but these should be introduced slowly and monitored. Evening routines should be calming. Encourage winding down with soothing activities and avoid any electronic devices to minimize overstimulation. Joining a support group, either online or in-person, specifically for people with schizophrenia might also provide emotional comfort. It's essential to closely monitor any changes in symptoms and adjust routines accordingly. If there's sudden agitation or other serious symptoms, contact a medical professional immediately. Supporting a loved one with mental health challenges takes patience and persistence, and it's crucial to approach it holistically, respecting both Ayurvedic principles and modern psychiatric support.
