how to cure gastritis permanently - #23234

Aubrey

I am really struggling with this gastritis situation. It's been super rough lately. I get these constant stomach pains and bloating, like, no matter what I eat. Doctor said I have gastritis, but honestly, I wanna know how to cure gastritis permanently. I’ve tried these antacids, but they just seem to mask the problem. Last week, I even tried some herbal teas, thinking they might help, but no luck. I’m so tired of feeling this way! What natural remedies can help? Like, is there even a way to truly cure gastritis for good? Any tips would be great because I'm starting to feel like I'm stuck in this cycle forever!

Understanding gastritis from an Ayurvedic perspective involves recognizing imbalances in your body's doshas, digestive fire (agni), and overall constitution. Gastritis is often linked to an excess of pitta dosha, which is responsible for heat and inflammation. Your symptoms of stomach pain and bloating suggest that there's a disruption in agni, causing improper digestion. To address and potentially resolve gastritis permanently, focus on balancing pitta and strengthening your digestive fire. Here are a few Ayurvedic suggestions tailored for you: Diet is crucial, so begin with incorporating cooling, nourishing foods. Favor foods that are naturally sweet, bitter, and astringent. Think along the lines of ripe fruits like melons and sweet apples. Include vegetables like broccoli and zucchini which are known to be more cooling. Avoid spicy, acidic or fried foods that could aggravate pitta. Eating habits matter as much as what you eat. Try to eat in calm, quiet settings without distractions. Aim for regular meal times to stabilize digestion, avoid skipping meals or eating late at night. Also, avoiding alcohol, caffeine and smoking as they can increase inflammation. Herbal remedies like aloe vera juice and licorice root can help. Aloe vera cools and soothes the stomach lining while licorice helps protect and heal it. Take a small amount of aloe vera juice before meals and consider licorice tea a couple of times a day. Hydration is essential. Drinking lukewarm water can support digestion - but not too much during meals to avoid diluting digestive juices. Coconut water is also excellent for pitta. Lifestyle adjustments can greatly impact. Managing stress through practices such as yoga and meditation help maintain overall balance. Even simple deep-breathing exercises can help control stress, which is a known trigger for gastritis. Turmeric milk before bed is another tip. It has anti-inflammatory properties and can promote healing from within. You might also consider Triphala at night to improve digestion and detoxify the intestines. It’s always wise to consult an experienced Ayurvedic practitioner to get personalized advice, considering your unique constitution and lifestyle. These guidelines aim to tackle the root cause, as opposed to providing just temporary relief. Remember, consistency is key in Ayurveda!
