I am feeling really out of balance lately. My digestion is all over the place, I get these super intense cravings — especially for spicy food — and I've been getting rashes that seem to pop up for no reason! A friend suggested I might have too much pitta in my body, which makes sense because I'm always hot and a bit irritable. Just last week, I had my lunch and I felt like I could explode from the heat. I keep reading about how to remove pitta from body but I'm not sure where to start. Is there like specific foods I should avoid? Everyone keeps saying cooling herbs or teas, but do they really make that much of a difference? Also, I've tried a couple of Ayurvedic tonics, but not sure if they’re targeted for reducing pitta. How do I remove pitta from body effectively or is it that easy? I really hope not! Would love any tips that might help.

Avoid spicy, fried, and fermented foods, as they aggravate pitta further. Especially skip tomatoes, garlic and onions if possible. You sound like you’re into spicy food, so consider milder spices like coriander and fennel - they add flavor without the heat.

Herbal teas or homemade infusions can help too. Try drinking teas made from coriander seeds or mint leaves once or twice a day. These can certainly calm the fiery pitta energy.
