Facial Hair Removal Ubtan (Natural DIY Pack) Use 4x/week on face in the direction opposite to hair growth. Ingredients: 2 tsp Besan (gram flour) ½ tsp Turmeric (kasturi haldi if possible) ½ tsp Neem powder or multani mitti 1 tsp Raw milk or rose water ½ tsp Fenugreek powder (methi) – slows hair regrowth Method: Make a paste. Apply, let it semi-dry (10–15 mins), then gently rub off in circular, opposite direction to hair. Wash with lukewarm water. Repeat regularly. In 2–3 months, hair becomes thinner and slower to regrow.

Excess facial hair and thicker body hair can be attributed to hormonal imbalances or even heritage. While Ayurveda can offer some assistance, it's vital to approach this with patience and consistency, since changes may take time. Let's delve into some Ayurvedic remedies for managing facial hair growth while keeping in mind the role of dosha imbalances. Understanding doshas, you may be dealing with a pitta imbalance, which results in excess heat in the body and could manifest in unexpected hair growth. Cooling this effect is important. Firstly, incorporate spearmint tea, known for its anti-androgenic properties. Boil one teaspoon of spearmint leaves in a cup of water, strain, and drink it twice daily. It helps balance hormones naturally. Additionally, consider a diet with cooling properties, for instance, cucumbers, coriander, and melon. In terms of topical remedies, an Ayurvedic paste from chickpea flour and turmeric may be beneficial. Mix two tablespoons of chickpea flour with a teaspoon of turmeric powder, add milk to form a paste. Apply this as a face mask and gently rub in circular motions before washing it off. Use this three times a week. Turmeric's anti-inflammatory properties and chickpea flour's exfoliating capabilities can reduce hair growth over time. Another remedy is to create paste using Thanaka powder (widely used in South India) mixed with Safflower oil. Leave this mixture overnight on your face. Thanaka helps in disrupting hair growth pattern and safflower oil soothes the skin. Open pores can be tackled by rosewater and sandalwood paste, a great mix to apply directly to your face. Ensure to adopt these practices regularly alongside a balanced pitta-pacifying diet. Moderation in spicy and oily foods while embracing fresh vegetables and fruits can assist in maintaining proper dosha balance. If possible, consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner to tailor the approach best suited for your unique constitution. Lastly, as tempting as these natural remedies can be, don't ignore the potential for underlying health issues like polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) that might require medical attention. Always monitor your symptoms and seek a healthcare provider if issues persist.
