The management of high T3 and T4 levels along with type 2 diabetes can be quite challenging and requires a multi-pronged approach. In considering an Ayurvedic perspective, we should look at this condition in terms of dosha imbalances. The high levels of thyroid hormones, T3 and T4, could indicate an imbalance in your Pitta dosha, while type 2 diabetes typically involves an imbalance of the Kapha dosha, and sometimes a disturbed Vata dosha might be increaing symptoms like hand shaking and sleep disorders. For the thyroid issues, it may be beneficial to focus on cooling and calming the Pitta. Consuming cooling foods like cucumber, watermelon, and mint, while avoiding hot, spicy, and fried foods, can help manage this imbalance. Also trying to have a regular routine with meals and sleep can be helpful. The hand shaking you mentioned could be a sign of Vata imbalance as well; so practices like Abhyanga (self-massage with sesame oil) might provide some relief. Regarding type 2 diabetes, focusing on your diet is crucial. Favor meals that are high in fiber and low in simple carbohydrates. Include bitter foods like bitter gourd and fenugreek seeds which can help in maintaining blood sugar levels naturally. Regular exercise is great, but ensure it is not overly strenuous, as excess Pitta can be aggravated by intense physical activity. Walking and yoga are gentle yet effective forms of exercise. Sleep disturbances might be linked to both thyroid imbalance and diabetes. Consider calming practices like meditation or Pranayama to help stabilize the mind. Avoid caffeine, especially in the later part of the day, and make your sleeping environment as calm and comfortable as possible. It's critical to keep up with your carbimazole medication as prescribed by your healthcare provider and regular monitoring of thyroid function and blood sugar levels. In some cases, adjustments in medication might be necessary. You must consult with your healthcare provider before making any major changes to your treatment plan.
