I am really confused about what to eat for diabetic patients. Been trying to manage my blood sugar but I keep going in circles with the info out there. Just last week, my doctor told me my levels are a bit high, and I gotta do something ASAP. I've tried cutting out sugars, but honestly, some days all I crave is those sugary snacks! Ugh! 🙄 Yesterday, I had a friend over who kept raving about how she controls her diabetes through diet but she didn't really go into detail about what to eat for diabetic patients! Like, is it just about avoiding carbs altogether? I try sticking to whole grains, veggies, and lean proteins, but it's sooo overwhelming! Plus, my energy tanks after skipping meals... Should I snack instead, or is that bad? How do I actually make a meal plan that works for me? What to eat for diabetic patients without feeling deprived? Got any quick tips, or should I just stick with what the internet says for meal plans? I'm really hoping to hear from anyone who's been there!
