Namaste, Quitting alcohol is a very positive step for your health. However, if someone has already experienced withdrawal symptoms like seizures, stopping alcohol suddenly can sometimes be risky and should be done carefully. Simple measures that may help: Try to reduce alcohol gradually rather than stopping suddenly, especially if withdrawal symptoms occurred before. Drink adequate water and eat regular balanced meals to support the body during withdrawal. Include fruits, vegetables, and protein-rich foods to maintain energy and reduce cravings. Gentle walking, breathing exercises, and good sleep can help reduce stress and cravings. It is also important to stay in regular contact with a doctor, because in some cases medicines are required to safely manage alcohol withdrawal and prevent seizures. Ayurvedic medicines sometimes used to support liver health and recovery include: Bhumyamalaki – traditionally used to support liver health and detoxification. Ashwagandha – may help support stress management and nervous system balance. Since you have already experienced a seizure once, quitting alcohol should ideally be done under medical supervision for safety. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.
