Can I take Amla Powder with Pantoprazole for heartburn, and how should I use it? - #53462
I have been taking Pantoprazole for heart burns for 3 weeks now, it has some side effects like loose stools and some headaches - hopefully all temporarily. Is it wise to add Amla Powder within a few hours from the Pantoprazole or will it increase my loose stools? and how much powder should I be taking in a day and also - with food or away from food?

Pantoprazole may cause mild loose stools and headache initially. Amla has no major interaction with it, so it can be taken, preferably after food. Start with a small dose (about ½ teaspoon daily). It may mildly increase loose stools in some people, so monitor and adjust if symptoms worsen. ---- Rx (Acidity / Dyspepsia): 1) Aimil Acidon Syrup 10 ml BD after food 2) Aimil Digesto 1 tab BD after food 3) Aimil Gasex (if gas/bloating) 1 tab BD after food 4) tab trifla 1 at night —Advice: Light diet, avoid spicy/fried food, small frequent meals.
