What to do for false urge to poop and heaviness in rectal area? - #54626
I am having false urge to poop since a week. Sometimes it’s mild, sometimes, strong, sometimes goes away. Sometimes instead of urge I feel heaviness in rectal or vaginal area.sometimes a mild stab in rectal area or feeling like that area is stretched.Iam having normal bowel movements.no pain or bleeding. What can I do to get rid of it.Also I have chronic incomplete evacuation feeling for years. But since this started i am taking care to not linger on toilet. This goes away in five ten minutes though.

Your symptoms fit Vata disturbance in Apana Vayu with mild rectal irritation (early Grahani/Anaha pattern). Goal is Vata anulomana, bowel regulation, and local soothing. Internal medicines (dose) Triphala Churna – 3 g at bedtime with warm water Avipattikar Churna – 2 g twice daily before food Gandharvahastadi Taila – 5 ml at bedtime with warm milk (if constipation tendency) Kutaj Ghan Vati – 1 tablet twice daily after food (for rectal irritation/urge) Local / rectal care: Jatyadi Taila or Kasisadi Taila – apply small amount externally twice daily Warm sitz bath 10 minutes once daily Diet & routine: Warm, soft, slightly unctuous food; add 1–2 tsp ghee daily Avoid dry, spicy, gas-forming foods, excess tea/coffee Do not strain or sit long on toilet Regular timing for bowel, gentle walk after meals
Thanks. Are there any yoga asanas you would suggest.
Your symptoms may be related to Vata imbalance in the lower abdomen and pelvic region, causing irregular bowel sensation, rectal heaviness, and the feeling of incomplete evacuation (Apana Vata dushti). Gas, bowel sensitivity, stress, prolonged sitting, or straining on the toilet can aggravate it. The good sign is that there is no bleeding, severe pain, or constipation. Ayurvedic care: Drink warm water throughout the day Take light, easily digestible food Avoid excessive spicy, dry, packaged, and gas-forming foods 1 tsp cow ghee at bedtime with warm water or milk may help regulate Vata Triphala at night in mild dose can support smoother bowel movement Do not strain or sit long on the toilet Regular meal timing and adequate sleep are important Helpful Yoga: Pawanmuktasana Malasana Vajrasana after meals Gentle Moola Bandha practice Deep breathing / Anulom Vilom for pelvic relaxation
