cervical stitch

1 answers

I’ve recently been advised by my doctor to undergo a cervical stitch procedure as part of my pregnancy care, and I’m a little nervous about what the procedure involves and whether it’s safe. Could you explain in detail what a cervical stitch is, how it works, and why it’s used in pregnancy? From what I understand, a cervical stitch, or cerclage, is a procedure where the cervix is stitched to prevent premature delivery. How does this procedure help women who are at risk of early labor, and why is it necessary in certain pregnancies, especially those with a history of miscarriage or cervical insufficiency? What are the different types of cervical stitch, and how does the procedure vary depending on the patient’s situation? For example, I’ve heard that there are different techniques for placing the stitch, such as a vaginal or abdominal cerclage—how do doctors decide which method is best for each patient? What should I expect before, during, and after the cervical stitch procedure? How is the procedure performed, and how long does it typically take? Will I need anesthesia, and what is the recovery process like after the stitch is placed? What risks or complications should I be aware of when getting a cervical stitch? Are there any potential side effects or long-term effects on future pregnancies? How can I monitor my body for signs of complications, such as infection or preterm labor, after the procedure? Lastly, once the cervical stitch is placed, how long will I need to keep it in place, and when will it be removed? What kind of follow-up care will be necessary, and will I need to avoid certain activities during my pregnancy to ensure the stitch stays in place and the pregnancy progresses safely?

I'm here to provide guidance based on Ayurvedic principles, but the specific medical procedure you're referring to, a cervical stitch or cerclage, falls outside the scope of my expertise. I recommend discussing your concerns with your healthcare provider, as they can give you the most accurate information regarding the procedure, its safety, and what to expect. They can also help address your nerves and provide specifics about the type of stitch that may be necessary for your individual situation, as well as any risks involved. It's essential to rely on your doctor for personalized advice that considers your medical history and current health. If you have any Ayurvedic-related questions or concerns, please feel free to share them.

Is There a Natural Cure for Diabetes That Works Through Ayurveda and Lifestyle Changes?

1 answers

I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and while my doctor recommended medication, I want to explore a natural cure for diabetes through Ayurveda, diet, and lifestyle changes before relying on long-term pharmaceuticals. Some of the most well-known natural diabetes remedies include Gurmar (Gymnema Sylvestre, known as the “sugar destroyer”), Vijaysar, Jamun seed extract, and Karela (bitter gourd), which are said to help regulate blood sugar naturally. But how effective are these in real-life cases? Another thing I’m wondering is whether a natural cure for diabetes requires a strict diet, fasting techniques, or yoga practices like Pranayama for blood sugar control. Has anyone successfully reversed or managed diabetes naturally? If so, what worked best for you, and how long did it take to see results? Would love to hear from people who have used natural treatments for diabetes and whether they provided long-term benefits.

Ayurvedic herbs like Gurmar, Vijaysar, Jamun seed extract, and Karela are commonly used for managing blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes, and they can be effective in supporting insulin sensitivity and reducing blood sugar when used consistently. However, they work best when combined with a balanced diet, regular exercise, and lifestyle changes, including Pranayama and yoga, which help improve circulation, reduce stress, and support metabolic functions. A strict, low-glycemic diet rich in fiber, whole grains, and anti-inflammatory foods is essential for managing blood sugar levels. While herbs and lifestyle changes can significantly improve blood sugar control, complete reversal is rare and requires long-term commitment. Many people report noticeable results within a few weeks to months, but individual responses may vary, so continuous monitoring and consultation with both your doctor and an Ayurvedic practitioner is recommended.

Roshini,
About Dr. Harsha Joy
A massive thank you to Dr. Harsha and this forum, honestly, I still can’t believe I’m finally better. For years I was dealing with this awful pain in my lower back and hips, especially when I sat for more than 10 minutes. It felt like someone stabbing me over and over. I couldn’t work properly, couldn’t enjoy family dinners, even short car rides were unbearable. I tried so many things—physiotherapy, meds, chiropractors, acupuncture, even weird devices that claimed to fix back pain. Nothing worked. I was so frustrated and kind of gave up, thinking maybe this is just my life now. Then, randomly one night, I found this forum. I didn’t expect much but thought I’d give it a try. Dr. Harsha replied to my question, and honestly, her response felt so personal. She explained everything clearly how my problem might be connected to imbalances in my body and not just something physical. She gave me a plan: some yoga stretches, herbal oils for massage, and a few Ayurvedic supplements. She even suggested small lifestyle changes, like how to sit better and take regular breaks during the day. I didn’t think it would work, but after a couple of weeks, I started to notice the pain easing. Sitting didn’t hurt as much, and my back felt looser. Over the next couple of months, the pain kept getting better. Now, I can sit through a whole day at work, go out with friends, and even travel without worrying about pain. Dr. Harsha, you’ve honestly changed my life. Thank you so much for your help and to this forum for connecting me with her!

About Dr Sujal Patil
A huge thank you to Dr. Sujal and this amazing forum! I honestly never thought I’d find relief from the problem I was dealing with for so long. For years, I struggled with terrible digestive issues bloating, stomach cramps, and this constant feeling of heaviness after every meal. It didn’t matter what I ate, even the so-called “healthy” stuff would mess me up. Some days I’d feel fine, and then the next, I’d be in so much discomfort I couldn’t even focus on work or enjoy time with my family. I tried everything antacids, probiotics, different diets, cutting out foods one by one nothing worked for more than a week or two. Doctors just kept saying it was IBS and gave me more meds, but I was tired of taking pills that didn’t actually fix anything. Then I randomly came across this forum, while scrolling late at night looking for help. I posted my story, not really expecting much, but Dr. Sujal replied, and wow, I’m so glad she did. Her advice was so practical and made sense in a way no one else had explained before. She said my issues could be related to weak digestion and recommended a complete Ayurvedic approach to strengthen it. She suggested drinking warm water with a bit of ginger and lemon first thing in the morning, avoiding cold or raw foods, and eating lighter meals in the evening. She also told me to use some herbal powders like Trikatu to boost my digestion and add a few specific spices like cumin and fennel to my cooking. She even taught me some breathing exercises to help calm my gut when I felt stressed. Within a week of following her plan, I started feeling lighter, and my bloating reduced significantly. Over the next month, the cramps completely stopped, and I could eat meals without that horrible heavy feeling afterward. I honestly can’t believe how much better I feel now, and I haven’t touched an antacid in weeks! Dr. Sujal, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You didn’t just help me heal physically but also gave me confidence that I can manage my health naturally. This forum is a blessing, and I’m so glad I found it!
