My baby is 4 month old from birth he is facing cold problem now we are using inhaler for him. He has thymus enlarge and lungs affected .

For your baby, Ayurveda recommends mild, safe remedies. Use Dashmool decoction in very diluted form for steam inhalation to ease congestion (consult a pediatrician first). Massage the baby’s chest, back, and soles with warm mustard oil infused with garlic to reduce cold symptoms. Strengthen the lungs with Swarnaprashan (gold-based immunity drops) if suggested by a pediatric Ayurvedic expert. Dietary Tips: Ensure the baby is exclusively breastfed (or on recommended formula). Avoid exposing the baby to cold drafts or allergens. Precautions: Enlarged thymus and affected lungs are serious conditions. Continue consulting a pediatrician and follow inhaler use as prescribed. Avoid self-administering Ayurvedic remedies; work under expert guidance to avoid side effects. Close monitoring and a combined approach of Ayurveda and conventional medicine are essential.

I have twin boys they are premature born on 24-7-2012.their weight is 25kg and 32kg.height is almost 55-60cm.how to increase their weight.

In Ayurveda, to support healthy weight gain for your twin boys, it's essential to focus on nourishing, easily digestible foods that build strength and vitality. Since they were born premature, their digestion and metabolism may need extra support. Foods like ghee, milk, oats, rice porridge, and whole grains can be nourishing and help promote weight gain. Adding healthy fats like coconut oil, nuts, and seeds to their meals can also provide additional energy. It's important to maintain a balanced diet with proper nutrients, including fruits, vegetables, and proteins, to support growth. Ayurveda also recommends herbal tonics like Ashwagandha and Shatavari, which can help strengthen the body and boost vitality. Ensure they get enough rest and physical activity suitable for their age to support overall health. A regular routine with adequate sleep, healthy digestion, and stress-free environments can also contribute to their physical development. Always consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized advice.

syp mannol for improving my child’s appetite—is it safe and effective?

2 answers

My 5-year-old son has a very poor appetite, and it’s been a struggle to get him to eat even basic meals. He’s starting to lose weight, and I’m worried about his nutrition. Our pediatrician suggested trying Syp Mannol to help boost his appetite naturally, but I’ve never heard of it before and want to make sure it’s safe for kids. Has anyone used Syp Mannol for their child’s low appetite? Did it actually help increase their food intake? I’m also curious if there were any side effects like drowsiness or stomach upset that I should be aware of.

Syp Mannol is a common Ayurvedic formulation that is often used to improve appetite and support digestion in children. It contains herbs that help stimulate the digestive fire (Agni) and promote healthy digestion, which can encourage better food intake. Generally, it is considered safe for children when used according to the prescribed dosage. However, as with any herbal supplement, it's important to follow the recommended dose based on your child’s age and weight. Common side effects are rare, but some children may experience mild digestive upset or an allergic reaction, so it’s always advisable to start with a small dose and observe for any adverse reactions. If your child is prone to sensitive stomachs or has a history of allergies, it's best to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting the syrup. Along with the remedy, it’s also helpful to ensure that your child’s diet includes easily digestible, nutritious foods, and that mealtime is relaxed and stress-free, as emotional factors can also affect appetite.

mathan thailam for children’s digestive issues: safe and effective?

2 answers

My 5-year-old frequently complains of stomach pain, especially after meals. We’ve tried dietary changes, but the problem persists. A friend suggested Mathan Thailam for improving digestion in kids. I’ve never used Ayurvedic oils for internal issues before — is this oil applied externally or taken orally? Also, is it safe for young children, and are there any side effects I should watch out for? We prefer natural remedies, but I want to be sure it’s gentle and effective.

Mathan Thailam is primarily an Ayurvedic oil used to improve digestion and alleviate stomach-related issues. It is typically applied externally, often in the form of an abdominal massage to help soothe digestive discomfort and promote better digestion. For children, this oil is generally safe when used topically, but it is important to follow the guidance of an Ayurvedic practitioner for correct dosage and application. It should not be ingested unless specifically recommended by a healthcare provider. As for side effects, when used externally, Mathan Thailam is usually well tolerated, but you should watch for any signs of skin irritation or sensitivity. If your child continues to experience stomach pain, it's important to investigate the root cause, which could involve digestive imbalances that might also require dietary adjustments or internal Ayurvedic remedies like herbs. Always consult an Ayurvedic practitioner before using new treatments to ensure they are appropriate for your child's specific condition.

My baby is always constipated and not pooping naturally and having hemohlobin low like 9.1. How to resolve this issue

It’s concerning to see your baby struggling with constipation and low hemoglobin (9.1). Addressing both issues together through a gentle, balanced Ayurvedic approach can help. Here’s a simplified and safe plan for your baby. Ayurvedic Approach for Constipation and Low Hemoglobin: 1. For Constipation: Draksha (Raisin Water): Soak 5-6 raisins in warm water overnight. In the morning, mash and strain the water. This acts as a natural mild laxative. Dosage: Give 1-2 tsp of this water to your baby once daily. Castor Oil: Mix 1-2 drops of castor oil in warm milk or water. This can help with smooth bowel movements. Triphala Powder (Mild Use): Mix a pinch of Triphala powder with honey or warm water once a day. This should be used sparingly and under supervision. 2. For Low Hemoglobin: Dhatri Loha Syrup: An Ayurvedic iron supplement that’s gentle and helps boost hemoglobin levels. Dosage: Give as per the pediatrician’s recommendation, usually 1-2 ml twice daily. Beetroot and Carrot Juice: Freshly prepared juice from beetroot and carrot (strained for a baby) helps increase iron levels. Dosage: 1-2 tsp diluted with water, once daily. 3. Dietary Suggestions: High-Fiber Foods: Include mashed papaya, prunes, and apple puree for better bowel movements. Iron-Rich Foods: Add small portions of mashed spinach, lentil soup, and fortified cereals. Hydration: Ensure the baby gets enough fluids like warm water or diluted fruit juices. 4. Massage and Exercises: Abdominal Massage: Gently massage the baby’s belly in a circular motion, using warm sesame oil. This stimulates digestion. Leg Cycling Exercise: Gently move the baby’s legs in a cycling motion to help relieve gas and support bowel movements. Lifestyle Tips: Regular Feeding Schedule: Maintain consistent meal and snack times to regulate digestion. Sunlight Exposure: Daily sunlight exposure helps improve overall health and supports Vitamin D synthesis, aiding iron absorption. Recommended Tests: Complete Blood Count (CBC): To monitor hemoglobin and rule out any deficiencies. Serum Iron and Ferritin Levels: To check iron stores. Conclusion: This approach combines gentle Ayurvedic remedies, dietary adjustments, and lifestyle changes to help ease constipation and boost hemoglobin levels naturally. For personalized guidance and dosage, consult a pediatrician or an Ayurvedic pediatric specialist.

How to handle fever cold and cough for kids

2 answers

Kids are getting affected easily with fever cold and cough. what is the remedy for this kind of issues? Also sometimes getting affected with diarrhea. Please suggest the solution for such issues.

For children prone to frequent colds, coughs, and fevers, Ayurveda suggests strengthening the immune system through a combination of diet, herbs, and lifestyle changes. Regular use of immune-boosting herbs like *Amla* (Indian gooseberry), *Giloy*, and *Tulsi* (holy basil) can help build resistance to infections. A warm, nourishing diet with easily digestible foods such as soups, khichdi, and stews, along with avoiding cold, heavy, and processed foods, can prevent the body from getting overloaded and reduce the chances of illness. Maintaining a daily routine of waking up early, practicing light yoga, and ensuring adequate rest is also important for boosting immunity. For diarrhea, Ayurvedic remedies like *Pomegranate peel* powder, *Bael fruit* (wood apple), or a simple concoction of *Cumin*, *Coriander*, and *Fennel* seeds (known as CCF tea) can help balance digestive issues. A warm ginger or cinnamon tea with honey can also soothe the digestive system and prevent further complications. Always ensure hydration and consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized recommendations, as children’s immune systems and digestion can be sensitive to changes.

Who Wrote the Earliest Ayurvedic Book on Pediatrics? Curious About Its Relevance Today

2 answers

I’ve recently been reading more about Ayurveda and its approach to childhood health, and I came across mentions of an ancient text that focuses specifically on pediatrics. I think it’s called Kaumarbhritya, but I’m not sure who actually wrote it. I’ve heard that this text deals with everything from infant care to childhood diseases, and I’m curious about how it compares to modern pediatric practices. I’ve been thinking about using some Ayurvedic remedies for my child’s recurrent colds and digestive issues, and I’d love to know more about the origins of Ayurvedic pediatrics. So, who wrote the earliest Ayurvedic book specifically on pediatrics, and how has it influenced modern approaches to children’s health?

The earliest Ayurvedic text dedicated specifically to pediatrics is called *Kaumarbhritya*, and it was written by the ancient physician *Charaka*, who is one of the foundational figures in Ayurveda. This text is a specialized branch of Ayurveda that focuses on the care, development, and treatment of children, covering everything from infant care to childhood diseases. It emphasizes the importance of nutrition, physical health, mental well-being, and emotional care, much of which aligns with modern pediatric principles. Ayurvedic pediatrics also offers natural remedies for common childhood ailments like recurrent colds and digestive issues, often focusing on strengthening the immune system (Ojas) and digestive fire (Agni). While modern pediatric practices rely heavily on pharmaceutical treatments and diagnostic technologies, Ayurveda offers a holistic approach that can complement conventional care, emphasizing prevention, balanced nutrition, and natural healing techniques. Always consult an Ayurvedic practitioner before applying any remedies for your child, to ensure they are safe and effective for their specific needs.

Who Wrote the Earliest Book of Ayurveda on Paediatrics? Need Info for My Research

2 answers

I’m currently working on a project about the history of Ayurveda and its application in child health. I’ve been reading a lot of modern Ayurvedic resources, but I keep coming across references to ancient texts that mention paediatrics. From what I understand, there was an early Ayurvedic book specifically focused on children's health, but I can’t find a clear answer on who wrote it. Is there a well-known author behind the first Ayurveda book dealing with paediatrics? I’ve seen names like Charaka and Sushruta in other contexts, but I’m not sure who’s credited with writing the first paediatric-focused text.

Certainly! Delving into Ayurveda's history is fascinating, especially with its detailed approach to child health. The earliest text on Ayurveda that specifically addresses pediatrics is called "Kaumarabhritya," and it's credited to Kashyapa, an ancient sage and scholar. Kashyapa Samhita, also sometimes referred to as Kashyapa Tantra, is believed to be one of the seminal works in this field. Though the text is said to have been written by Kashyapa, it’s important to keep in mind that what remains today are mainly sections or references in other books since parts of it has been lost over time. Let's nuance things a bit here. While Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita are monumental texts covering extensive medical knowledge, their primary focus wasn’t exclusively on children. However, they contain sections that contribute to pediatric understanding. Sushruta, for instance, included Kaumarabhritya as one of the eight branches of Ayurveda, but he did not write a dedicated text on it. If you’re diving into these traditional formulas, it's kinda like peeking into ancient wisdom that understands the very foundation of life itself, right from the time we are in the womb to how to care for a child’s health successfully afterwards. Kashyapa’s work makes it clear that early care impacts long-term wellness. He talked about everything from prenatal care to breastfeeding and childhood diseases. Such insights, when you think about it, feel like standing on the shoulders of giants who foresaw the importance of pediatric health way before it was a field of its own. When applying these ancient principles, don’t overlook your modern resources. Think of it as blending the traditional with contemporary understandings to bring out the best care possible. It’s wise, though, to consult or collaborate with seasoned practitioners when drawing direct applications, because the modern world blends in variables that those texts couldn't have accounted for. But the essence? It’s all in the balance and harmony the ancient texts bring.

Dyper rashes

Mere baby k rashes hai aur use Maine rash cream bhi lagai aur dyper free bhi rakha Lekin uske rashes nahi theek ho rahe aur dyper dalna bhi jaroori hai nahi toh mausam thanda hai toh usko thand lag jayegi main Kya karu

Aapke baby ke rashes ko dekhte hue, aapne jo rash cream aur diaper-free rakhne ki koshish ki hai, wo achha hai, lekin kai baar sirf cream se rashes ka ilaj nahi hota, aur thoda dhyan dena padta hai ki rashes ka kaaran kya hai. Ayurvedic drishtikon se, yeh rashes Pitta dosha ke imbalance ke karan ho sakte hain, jo skin ko irritate karta hai. Aap apne baby ki skin ko thanda aur sukoon dene wale Ayurvedic upchar de sakte hain, jaise ki chandan (sandalwood) aur aloevera gel jo natural cooling aur soothing properties rakhte hain. Aap inhe uski skin par lagakar dekh sakte hain, lekin pehle patch test kar lein. Agar diaper rakhna zaroori hai, toh aapko diaper ko regular badalna hoga aur diaper-free rakhne ka samay badhana hoga. Diaper rashes ko kam karne ke liye, diaper ke andar ka area hamesha dry rakhein aur talcum powder ya cornstarch ka istemal karen, lekin bahut zyada nahi. Aapke baby ke liye ek soothing herbal bath bhi faydemand ho sakta hai, jisme neem aur haridra (turmeric) ko use karke rashes ki irritation ko kam kiya ja sakta hai. Agar yeh rashes thik nahi ho rahe hain, toh aapko Ayurvedic doctor se consult karna zaroori hoga, jisse wo baby ki skin type aur condition ke anusar customized treatment de sakte hain.
