Best diet for psoriasis patients in India? Struggling to find the right foods
I was diagnosed with psoriasis about 2 years ago, and it’s been a tough journey since then. I’ve tried various ointments and medications, but the flare-ups keep coming back, especially during the winter. I’ve heard a lot about the role of diet in managing psoriasis, but I’m confused about what to eat and what to avoid, especially considering Indian food habits. I typically eat a lot of rice, lentils, and spicy food — I’m wondering if these could be making my symptoms worse. I’ve read that avoiding certain foods like dairy, nightshades (tomatoes, brinjal), and too much sugar might help. But what about staples like chapati and ghee? Are they safe to include in my diet? Should I be focusing more on anti-inflammatory foods or specific herbs? I’ve seen suggestions for neem and turmeric, but not sure how to incorporate them daily. How to manage psoriasis through an Indian diet? I would really appreciate any meal plans or tips
What Are the Benefits of Steam Bath in Ayurveda for Detox and Skin Health?
I have been hearing a lot about steam bath therapy in Ayurveda, which is said to help with detoxification, skin health, and muscle relaxation. Unlike regular steam baths, Ayurveda uses medicated herbal steam infused with healing plants to balance the doshas and remove toxins. Some of the commonly mentioned benefits of a steam bath include improving blood circulation, reducing joint pain, clearing the skin, and opening up the sinuses. But how does it compare to modern sauna treatments? Does it actually help in long-term detoxification and overall wellness? Another thing I’m wondering is whether steam bath therapy should be combined with Panchakarma detox, herbal treatments, or Ayurvedic massages for better results. Has anyone tried an Ayurvedic steam bath? If so, what benefits did you experience? Would love to hear from people who have used steam baths in Ayurveda and whether they provided long-term health improvements.
Oral Mucocele: Can Ayurveda Help Shrink It Without Surgery?
A few weeks ago, I noticed a small, soft bump inside my lower lip. At first, I thought it was just a canker sore or a mild irritation from accidentally biting my lip. But it didn’t go away. Instead, it grew slightly, and now it feels like a fluid-filled sac. I went to a dentist, and they said it’s an oral mucocele, which is basically a blocked salivary gland. The doctor told me that oral mucocele usually isn’t painful, but it can get bigger, rupture, and come back again. Their main solution was either to wait and see if it goes away on its own or to remove it surgically. But I really don’t want to go through a procedure if I can avoid it. Is there an Ayurvedic way to shrink or dissolve an oral mucocele naturally? I read that oral mucocele can form from repeated lip biting or irritation, which makes sense because I do have a habit of pressing my teeth against my lips when I’m stressed. Could Ayurveda suggest ways to heal the gland and prevent future blockages? Some people online mentioned that turmeric and Triphala can help with oral issues, but do these actually work for an oral mucocele? Should I be applying anything topically, or is there something I can take internally to reduce the swelling? Also, are there certain foods that could make an oral mucocele worse? I’ve been eating a lot of spicy food lately, and I wonder if that’s irritating it more. Does Ayurveda suggest any dietary changes for reducing inflammation in the mouth and promoting healing of the salivary glands? If anyone here has dealt with an oral mucocele and successfully treated it using Ayurveda, what worked for you? Did it go away completely, or do these things tend to come back even after healing? Any advice would be really helpful because I want to avoid surgery if possible.
How Does Ayurvedic Face Treatment Work? What Are Its Benefits for Skin Health?
I’ve been looking into Ayurvedic face treatments for improving skin health, reducing acne, and achieving a natural glow. Ayurveda believes that healthy skin reflects internal balance, and it uses various herbal ingredients and oils to address specific skin concerns, whether it’s dryness, wrinkles, or pigmentation. I’m curious about the best Ayurvedic face treatments and how they can improve skin texture, clarity, and hydration. Some of the key Ayurvedic ingredients used in face treatments include turmeric, neem, sandalwood, and aloe vera, which are believed to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and moisturizing properties. I want to know whether Ayurvedic facials or treatments offer long-term benefits for skin health or if they primarily provide temporary results. If anyone has tried Ayurvedic face treatments, please share your experience. Did it help with reducing acne, improving complexion, or preventing aging? How often should these treatments be done, and did you notice any lasting improvements in your skin?
