Varicose vein in both legs and pigmentation in both foot

I have varicose vein in both legs Thighs are blueish in some places and pigmentation in both foot .burning sensation in right foot especially in night and also in daytime when I lie on bed

Hello Sir, For managing varicose veins and associated burning sensations, Ayurveda emphasizes improving circulation and reducing inflammation. Applying Mahanarayan Taila or Sahacharadi Taila to the legs can enhance blood flow and reduce discomfort. (BUT DO NO MASSAGE ON THE VEINS DIRECTLY). Regular intake of TRIPHALA ( 1tsp) powder at bedtime aids digestion and indirectly benefits vein health by relieving strain on circulation. Additionally, herbs like Punarnava and Kaishore Guggul can reduce inflammation and pigmentation; Gotu Kola supports vein strength and may relieve burning. Elevating your legs while lying down, staying active with gentle walking, and avoiding prolonged sitting can also help. Foot baths can help in reducing the pigmentation around the veins). For diet, increase fiber intake and include warm water with turmeric to further support circulation. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a vascular specialist regarding surgical options.

What Is Vascular Surgery, and When Is It Needed?

A family member was recently advised to see a vascular surgeon, and I’m trying to understand what that means. From what I’ve read, vascular surgery deals with blood vessels, arteries, and veins, but what types of conditions require it? Are there specific symptoms that indicate someone needs vascular surgery, like poor circulation, leg pain, or swelling? What are the most common procedures a vascular surgeon performs, and are they always invasive? I also want to know if vascular issues can be managed naturally before surgery becomes necessary. Does Ayurveda offer any herbs or lifestyle changes that help improve blood circulation and vein health? I’ve heard that Gotu Kola, Guggulu, and garlic are good for vascular health—do they actually work? If anyone has experience with vascular surgery, I’d love to know how it helped and whether there were any natural remedies that worked beforehand.

A vascular surgeon specializes in treating blood vessel disorders, including blocked arteries, varicose veins, aneurysms, and poor circulation. Common symptoms requiring evaluation include leg pain while walking (claudication), swelling, cold extremities, skin discoloration, and non-healing wounds, which may indicate peripheral artery disease (PAD) or deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Procedures range from minimally invasive angioplasty and stenting to more complex bypass surgeries, depending on severity. Ayurveda supports vascular health with Gotu Kola (strengthens veins), Guggulu (reduces cholesterol), and garlic (improves circulation). Triphala, dry brushing, warm oil massages, and yoga (like Viparita Karani) also enhance blood flow. Early lifestyle changes—exercise, hydration, and a Pitta-Kapha balancing diet—may help manage vascular issues before surgery becomes necessary.

Can hemorrhoids cause ed

I’ve been dealing with an uncomfortable issue for the past few months—hemorrhoids. It started with itching and mild bleeding, but now the discomfort has become worse, especially after sitting for long hours. But what’s really concerning me is something unexpected: I’ve started noticing issues with maintaining an erection during intimacy. I’m confused and stressed. Could there be a connection between hemorrhoids and erectile dysfunction (ED)? I know hemorrhoids involve blood vessels and pressure in the rectal area, and ED can be linked to blood flow issues, so I wonder if one is affecting the other. Or is this just my anxiety playing tricks on me? I’m also curious if this could be related to my lifestyle. I spend long hours at a desk job, eat irregularly, and don’t exercise much. Can poor circulation or constant pelvic pressure from hemorrhoids contribute to ED? Has anyone experienced something similar? How does Ayurveda view these conditions—are they connected by dosha imbalances, like aggravated Vata or Pitta? Are there natural remedies or herbal treatments for both hemorrhoids and ED? I’ve heard about herbs like Guggulu for inflammation and Ashwagandha for energy—are they worth trying? Finally, if you’ve tried Ayurvedic therapies like Abhyanga (oil massage) or Panchakarma for either issue, did it help? I want to approach this holistically without relying too much on medications.

In Ayurveda, both hemorrhoids and erectile dysfunction (ED) are understood as being influenced by imbalances in the body’s doshas—particularly Vata and Pitta. Hemorrhoids are often linked to aggravated Pitta, which can cause heat and inflammation, and may also result in poor circulation and congestion in the pelvic area. On the other hand, ED can also be influenced by Vata imbalances, which affect the nervous system, circulation, and energy levels. In both cases, the underlying issue may stem from poor circulation and stress, which can be aggravated by sedentary lifestyle, poor diet, and anxiety. For hemorrhoids, Ayurveda recommends soothing and cooling treatments. **Guggulu** and **Triphala** are known to have anti-inflammatory properties and can help reduce swelling, improve digestion, and support detoxification. For **ED**, herbs like **Ashwagandha**, **Shatavari**, and **Gokshura** are commonly used to strengthen vitality, balance hormones, and improve circulation. These herbs help nourish the reproductive system and may also reduce anxiety, which can contribute to both ED and stress-related hemorrhoid symptoms. **Abhyanga** (oil massage) can be very beneficial for improving circulation, soothing the nervous system, and reducing muscle tension. Additionally, **Panchakarma** therapies like **Basti** (medicated enemas) may be useful for clearing toxins from the body, balancing Vata, and improving overall vitality. **Yoga** and specific **pranayama** (breathing exercises) for relaxation and pelvic circulation can also support the healing of both conditions. Dietary changes play a crucial role. A diet rich in fiber, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats can help both with hemorrhoids and improving circulation, while avoiding excessive spicy, fried, or processed foods that can aggravate Pitta and Vata imbalances. Approaching these conditions holistically through a combination of lifestyle changes, Ayurvedic herbs, therapies, and stress management can help you restore balance without relying on medications. However, always consult an Ayurvedic practitioner to tailor the treatment to your specific needs and ensure safe, effective care.

I am a 49 yo who has got menopausal woman with bp 150/95 how to control it with no side effects. Thank you

Hello Madam, do you suffer from any other health issue? Weight gain? Stress? Sleeplessness? Constipation? The cause of high blood pressure needs to be evaluated first. Then we can plan for the treatment. In the meantime please control your diet - avoid spicy /salty/sour / hot & oily foods in excess. Restrict non-veg , dairy products, fermented & bakery products. Also reduce eating out if that’s the case. Drink water boiled with coriander seeds & dry ginger throughout the day to regularise the flow of Vata.

I have left leg pain

My left leg was swelling, and pain I done coller Doppler in that I know I have DVT ot also be cronic DVT along that pt agivo done in that get PE now dr suggest me use acitrom but PT INR value was 15-18 getting so again dr suggest rivared is there any other treatment is possible pls give a advice me

I am not a medical professional, but it sounds like you are dealing with a serious condition, including Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and possibly Pulmonary Embolism (PE). The elevated PT INR levels you're experiencing may indicate that your blood is too thin, which can be risky in managing blood clotting disorders. Typically, doctors prescribe anticoagulants like Acitrom (warfarin) or newer medications like Rivaroxaban (Rivared) to manage blood clotting and reduce the risk of further complications like PE or stroke. It's important to follow your doctor's guidance closely, as they will monitor your PT INR levels and adjust medication as needed. If you're experiencing issues with your current medication regimen or feel like it's not effective, it’s essential to communicate with your healthcare provider. They may recommend adjustments to the dosage or explore other treatment options. Sometimes, other treatments like low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) or even direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) could be considered based on your condition. In addition to medication, lifestyle modifications such as regular movement to improve circulation (especially when sitting for long periods), elevating the leg, compression stockings, and maintaining a healthy diet can support recovery. However, any changes to your treatment plan should always be done under your doctor’s supervision to ensure the best outcome for your specific situation. Please make sure to consult with your healthcare provider about your concerns, as they can offer the most appropriate and personalized advice.

Hello, it depends on the severity of the disease. can you please explain the symptoms? Varicose veins may not be completely reversible after a certain stage and may require surgical intervention. But Ayurvedic treatment can definitely help reverse the pain, itching or pigmentation.

Namaste Claudia, I understand how distressing it can be to experience swollen veins, pain, and burning sensations, especially when compounded by circulation issues and hypertension. In Ayurveda, such symptoms are often linked to Vata and Pitta imbalances, leading to poor circulation, inflammation, and discomfort. Since you have a history of hypertension and menopause, your body may be undergoing Vata aggravation, which can weaken blood vessels and contribute to deep peripheral disorders. The absence of excess weight and your conscious diet choices are excellent, but we must focus on strengthening your circulatory system, reducing inflammation, and calming aggravated Vata and Pitta doshas. To support your veins and circulation naturally, consider regular self-massage (Abhyanga) with warm sesame or mahanarayan oil, which nourishes blood vessels and improves blood flow. Herbal formulations like Punarnava, Arjuna, and Gotu Kola help strengthen veins and reduce swelling. Additionally, consuming warm, easily digestible foods while avoiding excessively cold or dry foods can help balance Vata. Since you avoid salt, ensure your body is still getting minerals like magnesium and potassium through foods like coconut water, soaked raisins, and sesame seeds, which also help maintain vascular health. For relief from pain and burning, you can try soaking your legs in warm water infused with Dashmool decoction or Triphala. A gentle Yogasana routine with poses like Viparita Karani (legs-up-the-wall pose) and Baddha Konasana (butterfly pose) can significantly improve circulation and ease vein discomfort. Most importantly, managing stress through pranayama (especially Anulom Vilom and Bhramari) and meditation will help calm the nervous system and regulate blood pressure. If you’d like a more personalized herbal regimen, I’d be happy to guide you further. Wishing you balance and relief on your healing journey.

Severe pain in back and legs

I have gone thru venaseal treatment for both of my legs two months b4 now I am getting severe pain in knees ,legs, spine etc along with red marks and rashes all over the body due to what I don't know...... suddenly it comes and go and more cramps now in legs

The symptoms you're experiencing, including pain, cramps, rashes, and red marks, could be related to an imbalance in the body's doshas, especially after the recent venaseal treatment. In Ayurveda, these issues may be linked to an aggravated Vata dosha, which can cause dryness, pain, and spasms in the body, as well as Pitta imbalances, leading to inflammation and skin reactions. Thyroid imbalances may also contribute to these symptoms, as they can affect metabolism and fluid balance. To address this, it's important to focus on calming Vata with warm oils, gentle massages, and soothing herbs like Ashwagandha and Turmeric to reduce inflammation. Also, a diet that supports Pitta and Vata balance, along with proper hydration, can help manage the symptoms. I recommend consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner for a more personalized approach to restore balance and health.

Question about Blood Clots in Veins

3 answers

Kaishore-guggulu does seem to be a very interesting product and I would like to try it out. My question is does it dissolve clots in veins? Or does it only prevent clot formation? Will be grateful if you could respond.

Kaishore Guggulu is primarily used to detoxify the blood, reduce inflammation, and balance Pitta and Vata doshas. It does not directly dissolve blood clots, but it can improve circulation, prevent further clot formation, and reduce venous inflammation in conditions like varicose veins. For blood clots, Ayurvedic remedies like: Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna): Strengthens blood vessels and improves circulation. Dosage: 1 tsp powder with warm water twice daily. Punarnava (Boerhavia diffusa): Reduces fluid retention and supports vascular health. Caution: If you suspect active blood clots, seek immediate medical attention. Kaishore Guggulu should complement conventional treatment under professional guidance.
