I’ve been struggling with a persistent dry cough and sore throat for the past few days. The throat pain comes and goes, but the dry cough is non-stop, and it gets worse at night. I’ve tried warm teas and honey, but they only provide temporary relief. I’m looking for home remedies for throat pain and dry cough that actually work and provide lasting comfort. I’ve heard that garlic, ginger, and turmeric are great natural remedies. Should I make a concoction of these ingredients, or is there a simpler remedy that can relieve throat pain and stop the coughing? Also, does steam inhalation help for dry cough, or is it more for chest congestion? I usually feel better after inhaling steam, but I’m not sure if it’s effective for dry cough specifically. What about diet? Are there foods or drinks that can either soothe the throat or make the dry cough worse? I’ve heard that dairy can sometimes aggravate the cough—should I completely avoid it?
