Don’t worry Prashant ji,

*I have totally understood your issue…

*The experience of feeling like one’s life is deteriorating while on medication can be isolating. However, it’s crucial to acknowledge that you are not alone in facing such challenges.

*Ayurveda, an ancient Indian holistic healing system, emphasizes the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit in achieving overall health and well-being.

* Ayurveda explains mental health as a balance of the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. 1.VATA IMBALANCE can lead to anxiety, restlessness, and insomnia.

2.PITTA IMBALANCE can cause anger, irritability.

3.KAPHA IMBALANCE can result in depression, lethargy.

*Ayurvedic treatment for mental health focuses on restoring the balance of the doshas through various approaches. *A balanced diet, adequate sleep, and regular exercise are crucial for managing stress and promoting mental health.

*Meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises), and yoga are integral parts of Ayurvedic approaches to mental well-being.

**Abruptly stopping antipsychotics can lead to withdrawal symptoms, such as anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, and even a relapse of psychotic symptoms.

*NEED PERSONAL CONSULTATION Find qualified Ayurvedic practitioner in your area who specializes in mental health is recommended. He or She can provide a personalized assessment of your doshic balance and recommend suitable Ayurvedic treatments and therapies.

*Understanding your DOSHA constitution and the principles of Ayurvedic psychology can empower you to make informed decisions about your diet, lifestyle, and stress management practices.

* Ayurvedic treatments may take time to show their full effects. Consistency and adherence to the recommended therapies are important for achieving lasting results.

**Remember, your individual experience and journey are unique. Ayurveda can help you navigate this situation effectively and improve your overall well-being.

*If you have any doubt, feel free to ask.

TAKE CARE😊

HELLO PRASHANT,

I hear your concern. what you describe- severe anxiety, mouth spasms, speech difficulties, and extreme tiredness after long- term antipsychotic use - is very serious. These symptoms may be related to side effects of antipsychotics, particularly tardive dyskinesia (involuntary movements such as mouth spasms), drug-induced Parkinsonism, or even neuroleptic malignant syndrome in some cases.

FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT STEP This is not safe to manage alone. You should urgently consult a psychiatrist or neurologist- especially if symptoms are worsening or feel life-threthening. Dose adjustment, change of medication, or the use of specific antidyskinetic medicines like tetrabenazine, amantadine, benzodiazepines, propranolol may be required

While modern medical supervision is essential , Ayurveda can offer supportive management to reduce stress, spasms, and improve nervous system strength. A tailored approach Is needed, but generally

1) REMOVAL OF CAUSE -Gradual supervised withdrawal or change of the offending medicine -avoid stimulants coffee, excess screen time, alcohol, smoking

2) PACIFYING THERAPY

-KALYANAKA GHRITA= 10 ml with warm milk once daily. in morning after breakfast =can be increased gradually to 15 ml if tolerated

-SARASWATARISHTA= 30 ml with equal water twice daily after meals =helps anxiety, speech, memory

-ASHWAGANDHA CHURNA= 6 gm with milk once daily at night

-SHANKHAPUSHPI VATI= 500mg thrice daily after meals =helps anxiety and cognitive clarity

- ANTI SPASM/ MUSCLE RELAXING

-MAHATIKTAKA GHRITA= 10 ml with warm milk once daily =good for neurological vata disorders

-BALA+SHATAVARI + ASHWAGANDHA CHURNA= 1 tsp with milk once daily =strengthen muscles, reduces tremors

3) PANCHAKARMA SUPPORTIVE THERAPIES

-OIL MASSAGE + HOT FOMENTATION= daily 30-45 min =use mahanarayan taila ; relaxes muscles and nerves

-SHIRODHARA= 20-30 min/day, 3-4 times/week =brahmi taila ; reduces anxiety and mouth spasms

-NASYA= 6 drops of Anu taila per nostril daily =improves speech clarity and neurological coordination

4) LIFESTYLE AND DIET -Warm, freshly cooked, sattvik diet. avoid junk , fermented, or excessively spicy food -yoga and pranayam= nadi sodhana, bhramari and gentle meditation -regular sleep schedule

-Ayurveda can be supportive, but abruptly stooping antipsychotics is dangerous and may cause rebound psychosis or severe withdrawal -Your description of “contamination through air or water” may itself be part of psychiatric condition (paranoid perception). please share this openly with doctor- they will help without judgement -If you ever feel like harming yourself or your condition is worsening-> seek emergency medical care immediately

THANK YOU

hello prashant,

I understand what you’re going through, and I want to acknowledge something important first: your experience is real, and it’s not just in your mind. Living with severe anxiety, fatigue, speech issues, and the lingering effects of long-term medications is incredibly tough. Feeling like your environment is “contaminated” or working against you can make it even more exhausting and isolating. You’re not imagining this, and it’s very valid to feel the way you do.

The fact that you noticed improvement with Ayurveda before shows that your body responds to gentle, natural, and holistic care. That’s a sign that there is a way forward.

Here’s how I’d like to approach this with you. Think of this as a conversation between us,. I want to first understand your life, your symptoms, your struggles in detail: how your daily energy is, sleep, appetite, mood swings, body aches, cognitive clarity, speech issues, and any triggers you notice. Once I hear your full picture, we can plan a treatment that is gentle, progressive, and addresses the root cause not just the symptoms.

Ayurveda doesn’t just mask issues; it works to restore balance in your mind, body, and even your environment.

It’s important to trust that Ayurveda works in layers. First, we focus on removing accumulated toxins (Ama), calming the nervous system, and stabilizing digestion and metabolism. This can significantly reduce anxiety, fatigue, and mental fog. Alongside, we’ll use specific herbal formulations that support nerve and brain function, improve circulation, and gently detoxify without stressing your system. Gradually, we can also address more subtle aspects like speech clarity, energy, and resilience against environmental stressors.

You will start with Ama Pachana to remove accumulated toxins and improve digestion, which is the foundation for mental clarity and energy balance. This will prepare your body for internal medications and therapies.

1. Ama Pachana (Detoxification for 3–5 days):

Chitrakadi Vati – 2 tablets, 2 times a day with warm water after meals. Drink warm water or herbal decoction like Triphala Kashayam in the morning to support digestion and toxin removal.

2. Internal Medications (After Ama Pachana, for 4–6 weeks):

Brahmi Ghrita – 1 teaspoon at night with warm milk to support nerve and brain function, calm anxiety, and improve sleep. Ashwagandha Churna – 3 grams with warm milk, once daily in the evening, to reduce fatigue and enhance stamina. Sarpagandha Ghana Vati – 1 tablet twice daily, if palpitations or anxiety are prominent.

3. External Therapy:

Shirodhara – warm medicated oil like Bala Taila or Brahmi Taila for 30–45 minutes, 3–4 times a week, helps reduce stress, mental fatigue, and anxiety.

Investigations (if needed):

Thyroid function test (T3, T4, TSH) – to ensure endocrine stability. Complete blood count (CBC), blood sugar, lipid profile – to rule out metabolic causes.

Optional: MRI brain or nerve conduction studies if persistent neurological symptoms.

5. Yoga Asanas (daily, gentle practice): Shavasana – for relaxation and stress relief. Vrikshasana (Tree Pose) – improves balance and focus. Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose) – improves circulation and relieves fatigue. Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Dog) – energizes body and mind. Pranayama: Alternate nostril breathing (Anulom Vilom) – calming for mind and nervous system.

Lifestyle and Diet: Follow light, warm, easily digestible meals: khichdi, soups, steamed vegetables. Avoid excessive caffeine, processed foods, fried items, and late-night heavy meals. Maintain consistent sleep schedule and reduce screen time before bed.

Follow-up: Consistency is key; Ayurveda works gradually. Improvements in energy, sleep, and anxiety usually start within 2–4 weeks.

Track bowel movements, sleep, appetite, mood, and stress levels to monitor progress.

Avoid sudden exposure to stressful environments or stimulants during treatment.

This holistic approach targets your root causes Ama accumulation, nervous system imbalance, and mental fatigue while supporting gradual healing. With regular adherence, you should notice significant improvement in energy, clarity, and overall well-being.

Warm regards, Dr. Karthika

I hear the immense challenges you’re facing and the deep pain you’re experiencing. It sounds like you’ve been on a very difficult journey, and it’s completely understandable that you’re seeking solutions and a path forward.

I want to acknowledge the specific issues you’ve mentioned:

Long-term use of antipsychotics: The side effects you’ve described—extreme tiredness, severe anxiety, mouth spasms, and speech stuttering—are serious and can significantly impact quality of life.

The feeling of “nano-level contamination”: The experience of indirect contamination of medications through air and water is a very distressing and unique concern. It’s important to have a safe space to talk about these feelings.

The positive experience with Ayurveda: It’s great that you found something that provided significant relief, even if it was temporary. This points to a potential avenue for support that resonated with your body.

The broader concern about others: Your compassion for people like Sushant Singh Rajput and other “hidden talents” who you feel are suffering in silence is deeply moving. It shows a desire not only to heal yourself but to help others.

Given the complexity and seriousness of what you’ve described, the most important and immediate step is to ensure your safety and well-being. This requires a multi-faceted approach involving professional support.

Here is a plan of action that could help you move forward Professional Mental Health Support

The feelings of “nano-level contamination” and the fear of an external threat are deeply distressing and need to be addressed in a safe, therapeutic environment.

Support Groups: Connecting with others who have similar experiences can be incredibly validating and helpful. While finding a group with your exact concerns may be difficult, a general mental health support group could provide a sense of community.

3. Exploring Integrated & Holistic Approaches

Since you had a positive experience with Ayurveda, it’s worth looking into it further, but always in a way that is safe and complementary to you

Focus on Lifestyle: Many principles of Ayurveda are about lifestyle. You could explore incorporating things like:

Dietary changes: Eating fresh, wholesome foods that align with Ayurvedic principles.

Yoga and Meditation: These practices are well-known for their benefits in reducing anxiety, stress, and improving overall well-being. They can be powerful tools to help you feel more in control of your body and mind.

4. Taking Action and Contributing Globally

Your desire to help others is a powerful and noble goal. channel this energy into a positive, constructive outlet.

Advocacy: You could consider becoming an advocate for mental health awareness. Sharing your story, once you are in a more stable place, could inspire and help countless people.

Creative expression: Use your experience to create art, write, or speak. Your unique perspective on “hidden pain” could resonate deeply with others.

Support for others: Once you feel ready, you could volunteer for a mental health organization or a support hotline.

Remember, your life has immense value, and the pain you are experiencing is real and valid. Your first priority is to get yourself to a place of safety and stability. From there, you can build a life that is fulfilling and begin to help others with the wisdom you have gained from your journey.

HELLO PRASHANT,

I hear the intensity of what you are going through, Prashant . What you described- long- term high-dose antipsychotic use with severe side effects (mouth spasms, anxiety, speech issues, tiredness)- is extremely difficult, and it is very important to approach this in a safe manner

FIRST AND FOREMOST= life=threthening side effects from antipsychotics require urgent medical attention. Please do not try to stop or alter your medication suddenly on your own- it can cause dangerous withdrawal or relapse.

You have been taking antipsychotic medicines for 10 years. These medicines help in controlling certain mental health conditions but long-term high dose use can cause severe side effects, such as -Severe anxiety and inner restlessness (often called akathisia) -Mouth spasms, tongue twisting, or jaw stiffness (tardive dyskinesia/ dystonia) -speech stuttering or difficulty speaking clearly (due to nerve muscle effects) -extreme tiredness , lack of motivation (medicine suppresses dopamine, which also drives energy)

In Ayurveda, this looks like an imbalance of Vata (causing spasms, speech issues, nervous instability) and Pitta (causing anxiety, restlessness, heat in mind-body)

Your main goals are -reduce side effects safely with support of psychiatrist -calm and nourish the nervous system through Ayurveda, diet, yoga and lifestyle -rebuild energy and clarity so you can live meaningfully and contribute

TREATMENT GOALS

1) PACIFICATION= calm the aggravated vata and pitta through herbs, oils and diet 2) NOURISHMENT AND STRENGTH= rebuild Ojas(vital energy) through ghee, milk, rasayana herbs 3) MENTAL CLARITY= reduce anxiety, stabilize mood 4) CONTROL OF NERVOUS OVERACTIVITY= oils, massage, etc 5) REJUVINATION= long term strengthening of mind and body

INTERNAL MEDICATIONS

1) BRAHMI GHRITA= 10 ml with warm milk in morning for mind and speech =improves memory, reduces anxiety, stabilises nervous system

2) ASHWAGANDHA CAPSULES= 1 cap with milk twice daily after meals =strengthens nerves, reduces fatigue, acts as natural anti-anxiety

3) JATAMANSI CHURNA= 3 gm with honey or milk at bedtime =calming, improves sleep, reduces anxiety

4) SARASWATARISHTA= 20 ml with equal water after meals twice daily after meals =for speech clarity, nervous calmness, and memory

5) MUKTA PISHTI = 125 mg once daily with honey =cooling, anti-anxiety, balances pitta

MINIMUM DURATION= 3-6 months. benefits often visible in 3-4 weeks

EXTERNAL THERAPY

1) OIL MASSAGE= With warm Bala ashwagandhadhi taila followed by warm water bath =calms vata, relaxes muscles, reduces spasms

2) NASYA= instill 2 drops of Brahmi taila in each nostril daily morning =improves speech, nervous strength, reduces spasms in head/neck

DIET -warm, freshly cooked food -khichdi, vegetable soup, rice with ghee -milk with turmeric, pinch of nutmeg at night -ghee, sesame oil, soaked almonds, dates -herbal teas= brahmi, tulsi, jatamansi

AVOID (they aggravate vata/pitta and worsen spasms/anxiety) -cold, dry, leftover foods -excess spicy, sour, fried foods -coffee, tea, alcohol, smoking -packaged junk food, aerated drinks

LIFESTYLE

SLEEP= go to bed before 11 pm, wake up early

ROUTINE= eat at fixed times, maintain regularity

AVOID OVERSTIMULATION= loud tv, excess social media, disturbing news

NATURE EXPOSURE= morning/evening walks, sunlight for 20-30 mins

SELF OIL MASSAGE= head, feet, spine before bath

YOGA AND PRANAYAM

1) Bhramari pranayam= 7 rounds morning and evening -> reduces anxiety, improves speech control

2) Anulom-vilom= 10 rounds-> balances brain hemispheres, calms nerves

3) SHAVASANA= 10 mins daily resets nervous system

4) GENTLE CHANTING OF “OM”= vibrational therapy for speech and calmness

5) Avoid very forceful pranayama in your condition like kapalbhati

HOME REMEDIES

1) Warm milk + 1 tsp ghee + pinch of nutmeg at bedtime-> better sleep

2) Soaked almonds + raisins in morning -> brain nourishment

3) Tulsi + brahmi tea once daily-> reduces anxiety

4) Coconut water -> balances pitta, reduces restlessness

INVESTIGATION NEEDED -Neurological evaluation= check for tardive dyskinesia, dystonia -Psychiatric review= assess necessity and dose of current antipsychotic

Prashant, your suffering is real and serious. please remember -do not suddenly stop allopathy- always taper under observation -Ayurveda can reduce side effects, rebuild strength and improve quality of life, but it must be personalised -mind, body, and environment healing together will help you regain stability -your desire to overcome this and contribute to the world is your biggest strength- hold onto it.

DO FOLLOW

HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL

Prashant ji, thank you for bravely sharing your experience. What you’re going through sounds incredibly intense and painful — physically, mentally, and emotionally. The symptoms you describe (severe anxiety, mouth spasms, speech issues, extreme tiredness) along with your concern about indirect exposure to substances are serious and deserve both compassion and clear, supportive guidance. Let’s break this down step by step to help you find stability and strength:

Find a compassionate psychiatrist (ideally holistic/integrative) to:

Review and possibly taper down the antipsychotics safely (NEVER stop suddenly). Treat neurological side effects with agents like propranolol, benztropine, or VMAT2 inhibitors (used for tardive dyskinesia). Request blood tests for liver/kidney function, vitamin B12, D3, thyroid, and drug levels to check your metabolic response.

2. Integrate Ayurveda and Natural Support : It’s very promising that you saw benefit with Ayurveda. Many have found support in balancing the system through:

1.Ashwagandha or Brahmi (for anxiety & nervous system). 2.Mucuna Pruriens (Kapikacchu) – helps naturally replenish dopamine, which is often depleted by antipsychotics.

Panchakarma detox therapies under an expert’s supervision.

3. Handling Perceived Environmental Contamination:

Your concerns about indirect, smart contamination (via air, water, nano-level exposure) are not uncommon among those experiencing high anxiety, medication effects, or trauma. Whether or not there’s physical contamination, the experience is real to your body and nervous system.

Tools That Help in These Cases: Grounding therapy – Walk barefoot on grass, hold natural objects, focus on physical touch sensations. This trains the mind to separate real vs perceived threats. Reality-based mindfulness – Ask: “Can I test this?” or “Can I see clear cause-effect evidence for this suspicion?” EMF & air quality monitors – If you suspect environmental contamination, use objective tools to validate or ease concerns. Reassurance must come from reality checks.

4. Building a Life Beyond the Pain:

Once health stabilizes, you can transform your pain into purpose, like:

Creating an awareness blog or video channel on mental health, alternative healing, and suppressed talent. Collaborating with supportive communities (e.g., MindFreedom, Open Dialogue approach, Ayurveda researchers). Learning public speaking or content creation slowly, with speech therapy support if needed.

Thank you!

Addressing severe anxiety and related issues due to prolonged use of antipsychotics involves a multi-dimensional approach in Ayurveda. First, understand that severe anxiety indicates a possible imbalance in the Vata dosha, specifically Prana Vayu, which governs the mind and nervous system. Blending traditional Ayurvedic practices with lifestyle modifications could help restore your natural balance.

Begin by focusing on your diet. Favor warm, cooked, and easy-to-digest foods. Incorporate ghee to your meals, as its unctuousness calms Vata. Include sweet, sour, and salty tastes, as they balance Vata, while reducing bitter, pungent, and astringent flavors. Herbal teas made of ashwagandha, brahmi, and licorice can be calming. Ashwagandha is particularly recommended for its adaptogenic properties, supporting the nervous system and reducing stress.

Daily self-massage (Abhyanga) with warm sesame oil can be beneficial. The body massage helps pacify Vata, calming the nervous system. A regular routine is important — wake up and sleep at the same times each day. Practice deep breathing and meditation for calming the mind, possibly incorporating pranayama techniques such as Nadi Shodhana.

Check your environment for potential sources of indirect exposure to unwanted substances, and use air purifiers or water filters if necessary. Discuss with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner regarding any Rasayana therapy or Panchakarma you might consider for deeper detoxification when your condition permits.

It’s crucial to continue working closely with a healthcare provider, especially considering your history of severe symptoms. Ayurvedic therapies should be complementary to ongoing care, ensuring they pose no interference with your current medical regime. Ensure safe and professionally overseen transitions when modifying any medication or therapeutic approach.

When dealing with the aftereffects of long-term antipsychotic use, especially the severe anxiety, tiredness, mouth spasms, and speech issues you’re experiencing, it’s critical to address these concerns holistically through both modern and traditional healing methods. From an Ayurvedic perspective, these symptoms may indicate an imbalance in vata and pitta doshas, often exacerbated by medication effects.

First, calming the nervous system is essential. Consider incorporating herbal preparations such as Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) and Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), which are traditionally used to reduce vata disturbances and support a calmer mind. Use these in recommended doses as guided by a practitioner.

Paying attention to your diet can mitigate possible side effects of medications. Favor a vata-pacifying diet – warm, cooked foods with healthy fats like ghee or sesame oil may help stabilize your mood and energy levels. Avoid overly spicy, bitter, or astringent tastes, which can aggravate vata and pitta.

Consider practices like abhyanga, or self-massage with warm sesame oil, to soothe the nervous system and reduce tension in muscles, including mouth spasms. Gentle yoga or meditation can also help in maintaining balance, promoting relaxation and improving speech pattern over time.

If you suspect environmental contamination is playing a role, work with both your local health officials and an Ayurvedic consultant to ensure your living environment supports your health as much as possible. Maintaining a clean and peaceful space can enhance the benefits of your daily practices.

Note: Severe anxiety and medication side effects like spasms can be serious. It’s important to work alongside a healthcare professional to ensure you’re getting appropriate treatment and monitoring. In emergencies or life-threatening situations, seek medical assistance immediately. Always keep all healthcare providers informed about your Ayurvedic interventions, as they might influence Western medication.
