For your son’s mild autism and any associated aggression, considering Ayurvedic approaches can be helpful. The use of herbs like Shatavari, Ashwagandha, and Brahmi is a good start because they are commonly valued in Ayurveda for their supportive roles in mental health. However, it’s important to approach this with care and precise dosing, especially in children.

Brahmi may enhance cognitive function and improve focus. Consider using Brahmi powder or capsule, in the morning, for its calming effects. A dosage of about 1-2 grams daily, mixed in water or juice, could be suitable, ensuring tolerance first by starting with half the dose. Monitoring any changes in behavior will be essential, as herbs can affect each person differently.

Ashwagandha is another potent adaptogen that might help in reducing stress and aggression. However, in its root powder form, starting with a small dose, around 100mg mixed into warm milk at night, can help. Always keep an eye on any allergic reactions or digestion issues, since Ashwagandha may not suit every child.

Shatavari might not directly influence focus or aggression but can encourage overall wellbeing. You can integrate it with a regular diet by mixing a small quantity with milk or warm water.

Diet and routine play an equally crucial role. A Vata-pacifying diet including warm, cooked meals, rich in grounding, nutritious ingredients like ghee, grains, and root vegetables, often aids in calming the mind. Avoid excessive sugars, processed snacks, and stimulants, as they might exacerbate symptoms.

In addition to dietary and herbal supports, establish a regular daily routine, including physical activity tailored to your son’s preferences. Gentle yoga, deep-breathing exercises or guided meditation suited for children may also contribute positively.

Since your concern is intricate, consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner in person to create a personalized plan based on your son’s unique constitution would ensure all factors are considered safely. Professional guidance is advised to adapt the therapies to his specific needs.

Shatavari, Ashwagandha, and Brahmi are often considered supportive in addressing imbalances and promoting overall mental wellness. In the context of your son’s mild autism and behavioral issues, these herbs may help balance the doshas, specifically vata, which is often linked to nervous system challenges. However, it’s essential to approach their use with care.

1. Shatavari can be supportive due to its calming effects and ability to nourish the dhatus. Start with a small dose, perhaps in powdered form, mixed in warm milk. Use caution as it might not be suitable if there’s an existing kapha imbalance (e.g. sluggishness, too much weight).

2. Ashwagandha is an adaptogen that could help manage stress and aggression by balancing vata and kapha. A small teaspoon of Ashwagandha churna (powder) mixed with luke warm milk at bedtime could assist in calming the mind.

3. Brahmi is traditionally used to enhance cognitive functions and might improve focus and reduce aggression. Brahmi can be given as a juice extract or powder form. Consuming it in the morning on an empty stomach may be most effective.

Before starting any herbal regimen, it’s vital to consult with a practitioner familiar with your son’s health profile and current state, as individual factors might influence the suitability of these remedies. Additionally, consider lifestyle practices such as regular routine, adequate sleep, and a balanced diet focusing on reducing stimulants.

If your son’s aggression escalates or you observe significant behavioral changes, it’s crucial to seek medical advice promptly to ensure thorough evaluation and care.
