Namaste, Your condition — hyperthyroidism with increased heart rate — indicates heightened metabolic activity with pitta aggravation affecting the endocrine system. The focus should be on calming metabolism, supporting the thyroid, and reducing excess heat in the body. It is important to continue your prescribed medical treatment, especially in early stages, as uncontrolled hyperthyroidism can affect the heart. Avoid spicy, sour, fried, and very hot foods. Reduce caffeine (tea/coffee), as it can increase heart rate. Prefer cooling and nourishing foods like cooked vegetables, whole grains, moong dal, and include small amounts of ghee. Maintain regular meal timings and proper sleep. Stress management is very important. Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing (supportive): Praval Pishti – 125 mg, twice daily after food Kamdudha Ras (mild) – 1 tablet, twice daily after food Brahmi Ghrita – 1 teaspoon at bedtime with warm milk These are traditionally used to help calm pitta, support metabolic balance, and reduce symptoms like heat and palpitations when combined with proper routine.
