Assessment: TSH level of 15 mIU/L suggests significant hypothyroidism. Since you are experiencing fatigue and have a family history of thyroid disease, proper evaluation and monitoring are important. -----Important Advice: Ayurveda can support thyroid health, digestion, metabolism, stress management, and overall well-being. -----However, there is currently no proven Ayurvedic medicine that can reliably “reverse” hypothyroidism or normalize a TSH of 15 in all patients. ----Please consult an endocrinologist or physician and get a complete thyroid profile (TSH, Free T3, Free T4, and Anti-TPO antibodies) before deciding to avoid thyroid medication completely. -Untreated hypothyroidism may lead to worsening fatigue, weight gain, high cholesterol, menstrual irregularities, fertility issues, and other complications. ----rx 1) Kanchnar Guggulu – 2 tablets twice daily after meals with lukewarm water 2) tab metaboost 2 tab twice daily after meal 3) tab grantihar 2 tab twice daily after meal 4) avipatikarchurn 1 tsf at night with Luke warm water ----for 2 months and follow up Avoid excessive intake of processed foods, refined sugar, and deep-fried foods. Include fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and adequate protein in the diet. Maintain regular physical activity such as brisk walking for 30–45 minutes daily. Practice stress management through Yoga and Pranayama. ----Recommended Yoga & Pranayama: Surya Namaskar Bhujangasana Matsyasana Setu Bandhasana Ujjayi Pranayama Anulom-Vilom Pranayama ----Follow-up: Repeat thyroid profile after 8 weeks.

A TSH level of 15 mIU/L is significantly elevated and commonly suggests hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). While Ayurveda can support thyroid health, metabolism, digestion, and overall well-being, it is important to monitor thyroid function regularly with your physician because untreated hypothyroidism may affect energy, weight, cholesterol, fertility, and heart health. Ayurvedic Understanding In Ayurveda, thyroid dysfunction is often associated with: Kapha imbalance (sluggish metabolism) Mandagni (low digestive fire) Accumulation of Ama (metabolic toxins) Disturbance of Vata-Kapha dosha Your symptoms of fatigue, occasional bloating, and elevated TSH suggest a need to improve digestion, metabolism, and tissue nourishment. Recommended Ayurvedic Lifestyle Measures 1. Improve Agni (Digestive Fire) Start the day with a glass of warm water. Drink warm water throughout the day. Use digestive spices such as ginger, cumin, black pepper, cinnamon, and turmeric in meals. Avoid cold drinks, excessive dairy, fried foods, and processed foods. 2. Thyroid-Supportive Diet Include: Fresh vegetables and seasonal fruits Whole grains such as millet and barley Soaked nuts and seeds Adequate protein from pulses, legumes, and other healthy sources Reduce: Excess sugar and refined flour Heavy, oily, and deep-fried foods Late-night meals 3. Daily Exercise Brisk walking for 30–45 minutes daily Yoga practices such as: Surya Namaskar Bhujangasana Matsyasana Setu Bandhasana Ustrasana Regular movement helps stimulate metabolism and reduce Kapha accumulation. 4. Stress Management Moderate stress can worsen hormonal imbalance. Practice Pranayama daily: Anulom Vilom Bhramari Deep diaphragmatic breathing Aim for 7–8 hours of quality sleep. Ayurvedic Herbs Traditionally Used herbs that are commonly considered for metabolic and thyroid support include: Ashwagandha Kanchanar Guggulu Triphala

••I understand that receiving a laboratory report with a TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) level of 15 can be alarming, and it is completely natural to want to explore natural, holistic paths before committing to lifelong daily conventional medication ••While Ayurveda offers profound, time-tested tools to support thyroid function, stimulate metabolic tissue, and manage symptoms, completely reversing a TSH of 15 solely with diet and lifestyle—and without any form of targeted therapeutic intervention—is clinically very difficult and carries serious risks if left unchecked. 1. Classical Ayurvedic Formulations If your goal is to manage this naturally and avoid synthetic options, Ayurveda uses specific herbo-mineral formulations rather than raw herbs alone. These must be taken under strict clinical supervision: ••Kanchanar Guggulu: This is the cornerstone classical formulation for thyroid imbalances. It targets the Galaganda region (neck/thyroid), scrapes away Ama (toxins), and reduces Kapha sluggishness. ••Varunadi Kashayam: A powerful herbal decoction that helps clear channels (Srotoshodhana) and stimulates the underlying metabolic fire (Dhatvagni). ••Punarnavadi Kashayam: Often utilized if you are experiencing the common hypothyroid symptoms of water retention, puffiness around the face, or swollen ankles. ••Single Rasayana Herbs: Ashwagandha (to support the pituitary-thyroid axis and manage stress) and Guduchi (to modulate immune responses, especially if there is an underlying autoimmune component like Hashimoto’s ••Dietary Modifications (Ahara) To revive your metabolic fire (Agni), your diet must pivot away from heavy, cold, and channel-blocking foods. ••Ignite the Agni: Drink warm water throughout the day. Incorporate spices like ginger, black pepper, and long pepper (Trikatu) into your cooking to stimulate cellular metabolism. ••Foods to Avoid: Strictly limit raw goitrogenic foods (such as cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, and kale) as they can interfere with iodine uptake in the thyroid. Avoid heavy, processed, cold dairy, and refined flours that increase Kapha and block Srotas (body channels). ••Foods to Favor: Use iodized salt moderately. Consume easily digestible, warm meals like Khichdi, cooked mung dal, and seasonal gourds. 3. Lifestyle & Yogic Practices (Vihara) Moving the physical body is non-negotiable to combat the stagnant nature of Kapha. ••Pranayama: Ujjayi Pranayama (the psychic breath) is highly specific for thyroid health, as the gentle constriction of the throat stimulates the nerve pathways and energetic centers (Vishuddha Chakra) surrounding the thyroid gland. Kapalbhati helps stimulate overall systemic metabolism. ••Asanas: Postures that gently compress or stretch the neck region—such as Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand), Matsyasana (Fish Pose), and Bhujangasasna (Cobra Pose)—help improve local circulation to the gland, provided they are safe for your spine.
