Given that the pain has shifted from occasional to persistent over the last week, this requires careful clinical attention. In contemporary medicine, this presentation warrants a thorough physical examination and diagnostic evaluation (such as a scrotal ultrasound) to rule out structural, inflammatory, or vascular issues. 1.Characteristics: Aching, pulling, or spasmodic pain that might fluctuate but has now become constant due to deep-seated Srotas (channel) constriction. Modern Correlation: Chronic pelvic pain syndrome, nerve irritation, or early varicocele. 2.Characteristics: Heavy, dull ache, occasionally accompanied by a feeling of a “bag of worms.” Modern Correlation: Varicocele (dilation of the pampiniform venous plexus), which frequently affects the left side due to anatomical venous drainage patterns. 3.Characteristics: Constant, sharp, or burning pain, exquisite tenderness to touch. Modern Correlation: Epididymitis or Epididymo-orchitis (subacute or chronic infection/inflammation). ••Suggested Clinical Approach & Evaluation Before initiating any targeted Ayurvedic therapies, we must ensure there are no acute surgical emergencies. Ugent Diagnostics: I highly recommend getting a Scrotal Doppler Ultrasound alongside a routine Urine Examination (R/E and Culture). This will definitively rule out anatomical anomalies, high-grade varicoceles, or underlying bacterial infections.

Persistent pain in the left testicle for 2 months, which has now become continuous for the last week, can occur due to several reasons. In Ayurveda, this condition is commonly linked with Vata dosha aggravation affecting the Anda Kosha (testicular area), causing throbbing, pulling, or radiating pain toward the groin. Possible causes include: Varicocele – enlarged veins around the testicle, commonly on the left side, causing dull or throbbing pain. Epididymitis or infection – inflammation near the testicle, sometimes without fever initially. Muscle strain or nerve irritation – pain may radiate from the groin or lower abdomen. Inguinal hernia – weakness in the groin wall causing dragging pain. Hydrocele or swelling – fluid collection around the testicle. Kidney or urinary tract issues – sometimes pain reflects into the testicle. Rarely, more serious causes like testicular torsion or tumor must also be ruled out. From an Ayurvedic perspective: Increased Vata causes pain, throbbing, dryness, pulling sensation, and irregular discomfort. Poor digestion (Mandagni) and toxin accumulation (Ama) may further block channels and worsen pain. Stress and irregular lifestyle can aggravate Vata and intensify symptoms. Recommended care: Avoid heavy lifting, gym strain, running, prolonged standing, and bike riding. Avoid excessive masturbation or sexual overexertion. Wear comfortable supportive underwear. Keep the area protected from cold exposure. Follow a warm, light, easy-to-digest diet. Avoid very spicy, dry, junk, fermented, and cold foods. Drink enough warm water. Helpful Ayurvedic supportive measures Mild Vata-pacifying medicines Dashmool-based preparations Gokshura and Punarnava in selected cases Local warm fomentation if swelling is absent

Hi Masturbation has nothing to do with your situation…having continuous pain in testis…may be due to orchitis or any other issues…I would like to suggest you for USG scrotum … Because in this medicine can’t be prescribed without knowing the root cause … As I can understand you had already taken medicine for this …but go for a USG scrotum first and then you can go for personalized consultation with me if you want Thankyou

Masturbating once weekly is normal and usually not harmful. Stronger or frequent erections alone generally do not cause testicle pain.

If your ultrasound (USG) was normal, that is reassuring — a significant Varicocele is less likely. Mild vein enlargement, muscle strain, pelvic tension, frequent arousal, or temporary congestion can still cause dull left testicle discomfort even when scans are normal. To help improve it: Wear supportive underwear (avoid loose boxers) Avoid prolonged standing, heavy lifting, and excessive straining Stay hydrated and avoid constipation Reduce excessive checking/touching of the testicle If erections/arousal are frequent, regular ejaculation in moderation can sometimes reduce congestion discomfort Warm bath or cold compress may help depending on what feels better Avoid gym overexertion for 1–2 weeks and observe

Persistent left testicular pain for 2 months, now constant with groin radiation, should not be ignored. Possible causes: Varicocele (common on left side) Epididymitis/inflammation Strain or minor injury Hernia Less commonly, testicular torsion or other testicular conditions What to do now: Avoid heavy lifting, running, and strenuous exercise Wear supportive underwear Avoid self-medicating with random supplements Recommended next step: Scrotal ultrasound with Doppler and clinical examination If you develop sudden severe pain, swelling, redness, nausea, or fever, seek urgent care. Regards, Dr Raghuveer (Ayurvedacharya)
