रात में पैरों और जांघों पर खुजली क्यों होती है? - #10059

Sbijapur

Namaste, Sbijapur ji. Your itching (kandu) appears to be caused by aggravated Pitta and Vata dosha, often linked to dryness and internal heat. Here is an Ayurvedic approach:

Chikitsa (Treatment): External Application: Apply Coconut Oil or Kumkumadi Taila mixed with a little camphor before sleeping to soothe itching. Use Neem Oil or Sarivadi Oil for antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. Internal Medicines (Under Guidance): Haridrakhand: 1 tsp twice daily with warm milk. Gandhaka Rasayana: 1 tablet twice daily after meals for skin detoxification. Manjishtadi Kwath: 20 ml twice daily before meals, diluted with warm water, to purify blood.

Ahh, skin itching at night—annoying, right? Let’s dig into it from an Ayurvedic perspective. Sounds like you might be dealing with a combo of pitta and vata imbalances. When skin’s dry and itchy, vata’s usually acting up, and if it gets red or hot, pitta’s showing its presence too.

First up, let’s talk about diet. Avoid spicy, too salty, or sour foods; these flare up pitta. Opt for cooling foods, like cucumbers and melons. Hydrate yourself well—water, herbal teas. But not ice-cold; vata doesn’t like that.

Now for skincare: stick to natural. Before hitting the hay, try a gentle massage with coconut oil; it’s cooling and hydrating. Sesame oil’s another option if it’s colder where you live. Let your skin soak it up, rinse lightly if you like, or just let it be.

For immediate relief from itching, make some paste using neem powder and water, apply on those itchy areas. Aloe vera gel, if you’ve got a fresh plant around, can help soothe and cool too.

You have to think about lifestyle too, you know. Stress and irregular routines crank up vata. So aim for a regular sleep schedule, start with light yoga or meditation—it really works. You’d be surprised how much your mind impacts your skin.

And hey, could be worth checking your sleeping environment too—too hot, or dry? Maybe get a humidifier going. But if them red spots don’t go away, or they keep coming back bad, gotta consider visiting a dermatologist.

Make sure you keep an eye on it, and of course, feel free to swing back if there’s something more popping up. Skin’s tricky but with the right steps, you’ll get it back in line.
