Dealing with ringworm can be frustrating, especially when it sticks around despite trying different remedies. In Ayurveda, skin issues, including ringworm, are often linked to imbalance in doshas, particularly pitta and kapha doshas. Let’s see what you can try!

First thing, you might want to start focusing on your diet. A light diet, that avoids spicy, oily, and fermented foods can help balance pitta. Include cooling foods like cucumber, coconut water, and melons. They can soothe that excess heat your skin’s dealing with. Also, try to drink enough water, but not ice-cold ones. Warm or room-temperature fluids are better.

Now, about what you can apply externally. Turmeric is pretty popular in Ayurveda for its antifungal properties. Mix a little turmeric powder with water to make a paste and apply it on the affected areas. Leave it on for 30 mins before rinsing gently.

Another thing you may try is neem leaves. They’re known for their antimicrobial effects. You can boil few neem leaves, strain the water, and use it for washing the spots. Make sure it’s at a comfortable temperature!

Stress sometimes sneaks in as a culprit too, so incorporating yoga or meditation into your routine might help with the healing process. It can calm your mind and body.

If the itchiness is too much, make sure not to scratch as it can worsen things further. You could ask about ‘Khadira’, an Ayurvedic herb – it might be worth a shot for you.

Regardless, I’m speaking from a natural perspective here. It’s crucial to let a healthcare provider know whatever you’re trying, and you might want to re-check with a dermatologist especially since it has persisted for months. Quick consult might highlight if there’s anything else contributing.

Take little steps, and let’s hope you find relief soon!
