In Ayurveda, uterine polyps are often associated with an imbalance in Vata and Kapha doshas, leading to the formation of abnormal growths and hormonal disturbances. Management focuses on detoxifying the body, balancing hormones, and strengthening the reproductive system.

A gentle detox through Panchakarma therapies like Virechana (purgation) or Basti (medicated enema) can help remove toxins (Ama) and regulate Vata. Herbs like Ashoka, Lodhra, and Shatavari are beneficial for supporting uterine health, regulating menstrual cycles, and reducing excessive growth of tissues. Triphala and Guggulu may aid in detoxifying and improving digestion, preventing hormonal imbalances.

A Pitta and Kapha pacifying diet is recommended, including warm, easily digestible foods, cooked vegetables, and fresh fruits. Avoiding dairy, processed foods, and excess sugar helps reduce inflammation and prevent polyps from reoccurring. Drinking coriander seed water or cumin water daily supports hormonal balance.

Practicing yoga asanas like Baddha Konasana and Supta Baddha Konasana enhances circulation to the pelvic area. Stress management with Pranayama and meditation is essential for hormonal regulation. Regular Ayurvedic consultations are recommended with an Ayurvedic gynaecologist.

Hi Savita,

Thank you for sharing this information. Can you tell me if you experience any other symptoms like bloating, fatigue, or heavy periods? Also, how is your digestion, and do you notice any specific foods that may worsen your symptoms? Lastly, have you made any changes to your lifestyle or diet recently to help with your weight or joint pain?

Hey, okay… so dealing with uterine polyps and all that stuff can be quite bothersome, and it’s understandable you want to prevent recurrence. Polyps can stem from hormonal imbalances, which Ayurveda often sees as a dosha imbalance – especially related to Kapha and Vata characteristics.

First, regulating your agni (digestive fire) is crucial. Think warm, light and easily digestible foods. Avoid excessive cold, oily or heavy meals which could aggravate Kapha. You might want to include things like ginger, turmeric and cumin in your meals. They’re considered excellent to balance out things. Oh, and prakriti-wise, make sure you chew your food thoroughly; it’s important for digestion.

Given your concern about weight, maybe cut down on processed sugars and refined flours. They’re notorious for causing weight gain and can mess with your hormones. Focus on whole grains like quinoa or brown rice instead. And stay hydrated! Sip on warm water throughout the day, which can aid in digestion and help clear toxins from your system.

With the Thyronorm and joint pains, integrating gentle exercises like yoga might help. It addresses multiple issues — keeping things like flexibility, weight, and mental stress in check.

A note on timing: have your dinners early, like 2-3 hours before bed. It helps your body process the meal and align with your body’s natural rhythms.

Stress management’s another key factor. It can worsen hormonal fluctuations, so try meditation or simple breathing exercises. They do wonders!

But, if the symptoms persist or worsen, regular medical follow-ups are crucial. Keeping your healthcare provider in loop is always a good idea – this helps with personalized adjustments to maintain your overall health compass aligned.

If symptom flare-ups require urgent interventions, do seek professional care immediately. Yes, Ayurveda’s great for long-term balance, but safety first, always!
