Based on Ayurvedic principles, your condition might involve an imbalance in Pitta dosha, exacerbating the heat and leading to redness and inflammation on the cheeks. Addressing this would need a holistic approach focusing on both internal and external care.

Firstly, it’s important to balance Pitta with some dietary changes. Incorporate cooling foods into daily meals, like cucumber, watermelon, and coconut water. Avoiding spicy, fried, and excessively sour or salty foods will ease the heat. Keep meals simple and bland to allow your digestive fire, Agni, to function without aggravation — this might help your body better metabolize and purify itself, potentially reducing the blemishes.

The application of Ayurvedic herbs can be soothing to your skin. Make a gentle paste using turmeric powder and rose water, apply it lightly over the affected areas, leaving it there for about 15 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water. Turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties will assist in reducing redness and healing. Likewise, Aloe vera gel directly from the leaf or a non-preservative gel can be applied overnight to calm the skin.

For internal detoxification, yakrit (liver) is very vital to address. Ayurvedic formulations like ‘Arogyavardhini Vati’ are known to aid liver metabolism and soothe Pitta. Be sure to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for specific formulations and dosages tailored to your unique Prakriti and condition.

Lifestyle adjustments are equally important. Ensure you are getting adequate rest; stress can aggravate Pitta imbalances, so incorporating Yoga and Pranayama practices into your routine could be beneficial. Prefer cooling breaths like Sheetali or Sitkari to further cool the internal heat.

Additionally, maintaining good skin hygiene is necessary. Use a mild, natural cleanser like chickpea flour mixed with a little water instead of harsh commercial products. Always moisturize with a light, non-comedogenic lotion after washing your face.

If there is persistent discomfort or the conditions worsen, particularly if there are pus-filled bumps, it might be essential to seek professional medical advice to rule out any underlying infections or other skin conditions. Balancing natural remedies with professional guidance is often the best approach when dealing with complex skin issues.
