Hello Girish, Firstly, you need to stop consuming sweets and sour foods. Secondly, you can perform Gandusha (oil pulling) using coconut oil to strengthen your teeth. After that, rinse your mouth with warm water and gargle. You will notice significant improvement by following this routine consistently.

To address the rapid decay of your teeth, even after you’ve cut down on sweets and sugar items, it’s important to consider some underlying Ayurvedic principles, also paying attention, to current dental practices. Since you’ve had multiple root canals and re-root canals, let’s focus on prevention and maintenance.

Firstly, oil pulling is a fantastic practice. Keep doing it! It can help draw out toxins and strengthen the oral tissues. Ideally, use sesame or coconut oil for this each morning on an empty stomach, swishing for about 15-20 minutes.

Your existing dental hygiene routine seems solid, but you might consider using a soft brush to minimize enamel erosion, opt for a gentle, herbal toothpaste that doesn’t have harsh chemicals. Ayurveda recommends certain herbs like neem and clove for their antibacterial properties. These could be in your toothpaste or used by themselves for a while.

Diet plays a huge role too — focus on calcium-rich foods like sesame seeds, leafy greens, and almonds. Vitamin D is equally important; ensure regular sun exposure or consider a supplement if necessary. Avoid excessively cold or hot foods as they might weaken the enamel even more.

Since oral health is linked to digestion in Ayurveda, make sure your digestive fire, Agni, is balanced. Avoid heavy, overly oily, or processed foods. Instead, focus on fresh, wholesome meals. A strong digestive system can significantly contribute to healthier gums and teeth.

Consider Gargling with warm water with a pinch of salt and turmeric afterward after meals, as it may help in dislodging food particles and keeping your mouth free of infection.

If you’re dealing with any vata dosha imbalances such as dry mouth or gums, which can also affect dental health, stay hydrated and include healthy fats in your diet, such as ghee, to keep the tissues nourished.

Lastly, don’t skip your regular dental check-ups. While Ayurveda provides holistic support, modern dentistry is essential for immediate or ongoing dental health issues. Since you’ve had several root canals, professional monitoring will help manage any potential issues promptly, preventing further dental decay down the line.

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
