The symptoms you’re experiencing suggest an underlying Vata-Pitta imbalance, causing dryness, itching, and digestive disturbances. In Ayurveda, it is believed that when Vata dosha, responsible for movement and dryness, and Pitta dosha, governing heat and metabolism, are imbalanced, it can lead to conditions similar to what you’re describing - especially involving skin and digestion.
Firstly, addressing the skin issue - the key is to pacify Vata and Pitta. Implement regular abhyanga (oil massage) using sesame oil or coconut oil to nourish skin and reduce dryness. Massage the oil gently on the affected areas, let it sit for 30 minutes, then take a warm shower. Avoid hot water which could worsen the dryness. You might also try using turmeric paste mixed with a bit of water and apply it on the white patches - turmeric can help soothe the skin. Avoid scratching, as it can worsen the condition; instead, try patting or rubbing gently if you must.
Regarding your diet, focus on warm, cooked meals incorporating foods that are easy to digest. Include ghee in small amounts since you found it hard to digest. You might want to try trikatu churna before meals to aid digestion, but consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner to find the right dosage. Lean towards sweet, salty, and sour foods which pacify Vata, while avoiding spicy, fried, and fermented foods which can aggravate Pitta. Drink warm water instead of cold, and avoid eating late at night.
For your digestion, since you’ve found Hingwashtak churan helpful, continue with it, but ensure consistency. Jal-basti can aid in balancing Vata but must be done under supervision. If sleep disturbances persist, consider a light chamomile tea before bedtime to help relax the mind. Yoga and pranayama can be beneficial for calming the mind-body system and should be practiced regularly. Lastly, since there are many factors at play, please consider seeing a knowledgeable Ayurvedic practitioner who can provide personalized guidance, assessing firsthand your prakriti, symptoms, and lifestyle.
