Hello I can understand your concern regarding yellow stains. Yellow stains and tartar on teeth occur due to Kapha accumulation, poor oral hygiene, and excessive intake of tea, coffee, or tobacco. But dont worry we are here to help you out😊
✅Ayurvedic Home Remedies
1. Oil Pulling (Gandusha)
Use Sesame oil or Coconut oil daily, early morning before brushing. Swish for 5–10 minutes and spit it out. Helps remove toxins, stains, and strengthens gums.
2. Brushing with Herbal Powders (Dantamanjan)
Use herbal powders like Triphala Churna, Trikatu, or Madhuka (Licorice) powder once daily. You can also use Patanjali Dant Kanti, Ayush Dant Manjan, or Vicco Vajradanti.
These reduce plaque, tartar, and whiten teeth naturally.
3. Baking Soda and Lemon (Occasionally)
Mix a pinch of baking soda with few drops of lemon juice; gently rub teeth once a week. Avoid overuse as it may erode enamel.
4. Clove and Neem
Chew a neem twig (Datun) or rub clove oil on gums twice weekly. Acts as antibacterial and prevents bad breath and plaque buildup.
✅DIET AND LIFESTYLE
Avoid tea, coffee, smoking, and sugary foods. Rinse mouth after every meal. Drink warm water after oily or heavy meals.
✅ Suggested Ayurvedic Formulations

Yellow stains, hardened plaque, and tartar on teeth can be a source of concern, and Ayurveda offers some natural solutions for maintaining oral hygiene. While there may not be an Ayurvedic toothpaste specifically branded for this purpose, some traditional home remedies and practices can help in reducing these issues naturally.
Firstly, oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic practice that can be quite effective. Swishing a tablespoon of sesame or coconut oil in your mouth for about 10 to 15 minutes daily can help in reducing plaque build-up and prevent gum diseases. This method helps in drawing out toxins and improving oral hygiene.
Herbal powders like Triphala can be used as a tooth powder by mixing it with a little water to form a paste. Gently brush your teeth with this paste, focusing on the gums and teeth surfaces. Triphala has antimicrobial properties that helps in preventing dental issues and maintaining oral health.
Neem sticks or Dattun has been used traditionally for cleaning teeth. Chewing on a neem twig and using it as a brush can help remove bacteria and plaque. Neem has strong anti-bacterial properties that can help protect oral health and reduce staining.
Limiting intake of colored and sugary foods and drinks like coffee, tea, and sodas can prevent further staining and plaque build-up. Additionally, it’s beneficial to brush your teeth after these consumptions to minimize stains.
Lastly it’s important to say, if tartar is already hardened, it’s crucial to visit a dentist for a professional cleaning. Ayurvedic methods are more preventive and supportive than corrective for existing severe conditions. Ensure a balanced diet with adequate calcium and avoid smoking, as these lifestyle choices contribute significantly to oral health.
Start with 1. Oil Pulling (Gandusha/Kavala): Method: Swish 1 tablespoon of organic sesame oil or coconut oil in your mouth for 10–15 minutes daily, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach. Spit out the oil and rinse with warm water. Frequency: Daily for 2–4 weeks for noticeable results.
2. Herbal Tooth Powder: Ingredients: Triphala powder: 1 tsp Neem powder: 1 tsp Rock salt (Saindhav): ½ tsp Clove powder: ¼ tsp Preparation: Mix the powders thoroughly and store in an airtight container. Method: Dip a damp toothbrush into the powder and gently brush teeth for 2–3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
